    how do you know the angle for the pitch of the roof ?

    Great video. Like the idea of adjusting the blocks to fit the spaces. To reduce confusion however, I would project the various elements separately.

      Thank you very much and yes projecting the elements separately works as well.

    Good video, however you could save time by drawing one line then copy to all corners or use XLINE (XL) >> vertical quick and fast

    HELLO does the elevation have to be of the front of the house or can it be done with the back?

    • @mr.cargill
      @mr.cargill  3 года назад

      Sorry for the late reply, you need to do at least two views for the elevation. The front view must be done and then you can choose between drawing one of the sides or the back.

    Sir you said that we were to offset 150 from the baseline, if so then why is the sample picture telling us to offset by 187.

    • @mr.cargill
      @mr.cargill  Год назад

      150 is the standard, however in an exam situation you would use whatever specifications are given. I'd you are given 187 then you should use that.

      Another question sir, do these measurements apply to all elevations.

    What if you have columns

    • @mr.cargill
      @mr.cargill  Год назад

      You can either draw the columns or you can get columns blocks on line. Just type in free CAD blocks on Google. Click on one of the sites and type columns in the search bar on the site. Click on the set you like and then select download CAD blocks (normally at the bottom of the page) then you can open them in AutoCAD and copy and paste the one you like into your drawing.
