Great video, just had a question. Is it known you can skip the Lift of Dectus? In my own playthrough I accidently skipped it by going through the cave besides it, and could that be any use to runs like these?
I like how someone who faces down some of the toughest bosses in souls without fear- KNOWING they won’t get even touched- still takes special care to one shot and snipe the birds.
Tbf the bird enemies are kinda hard, they are extremely mobile and are almost always out of range for melee and they have swift, hardish hitting attacks, rivers of blood is one of the better melee weapons against them due to its speed + range.
As of 1.03 patch of ER this setup is completely nerfed lmao. I will be redoing the run (which is hopefully more balanced and fun) on www.twitch.tv/ginomachino
I was literally thinking this game is so massive and long there’s no way people will manage no hit runs. Yet here we are, not even a month since the game released.
Ya if they are just beating game that shouldn’t be to difficulty. Completing the game without taking damage or getting hit is a different story considering how many bosses there is and areas that can kill you themselves
@goggles789 I ended up switching to rivers of blood by recommendation from a friend. It could interrupt her water fowl dance. That's the only reason I made it through lol. Before that it was just me hoping I could get a run where she didn't use it.
That one attack from the elden beast would probably be the biggest run killer for no hit runs and it's at the very end I feel like a graveyard of controllers awaits future no hit runners

They break the game. Specialize in either faith or intellect magic and level up the respective skill. Even basic spells can beat endgame bosses if properly leveled (magic glintblade for intellect magic, lightning bolt for faith magic). I actually PREFER these basic spells and personally beat the game twice (once with intellect then with faith) using either of those basic spells as my main weapon. Next, you want to find a weapon whose damage increases as your chosen magic skill increases. Towards the endgame, you’ll be able to make any weapon that can use ash of wars scale with your magic type. Half the campaign bosses reward weapons that scale with faith, and a lot of the bosses in the Ranni sidequest reward weapons that scale with intellect. Next, you can use summons to break the game. Dedicating time to upgrading ANY summon will make life easier, but the “mimic tear” summon when upgraded is pretty laughably overpowered. If you go to the far north east corner of Caelid, the red wastes east of the starting zone, you can find a Night’s Cavalry who drops the “Bloodhound’s Sidestep” ash of war. The item can be equipped on most weapons and grants you the power to near instantaneously teleport far further than a roll or sidestep will take you (with more invincibility frames) for a small FP cost. Mainly I play a magic build, using the bloodhound step as my main evasive move instead of rolling. You can use the teleport to get distance on bosses and then spam ranged magical attacks while also keeping a weapon of your choice with intrinsic bleed in case melee damage is necessary. Bleed is very powerful, and you can unlock the ability to make all ash of war available weapons cause bleed, but doing so means you can not use the extremely fun teleport dodge. This issue can be circumvented by simply finding an ash of war available weapon with bleed as an intrinsic property, such as the samurai starting sword. Of course none of these are tactics particularly utilized by speedrunners, but, in compromising everything for the sake of time, I believe that speedrunners are far from playing these games in the most fun or easiest way. Part of the beauty of this game is that it can be played straightforwardly as a knight with a sword and shield, or as a teleporting samurai who fights by hurling lightning bolts like he’s fucking Zeus.

Dark Souls 1 had 2 secret rings for completing the game in really painful ways. First ring is for beating the game and never resting at a bonfire, the second ring is for beating the gane without estus. Both rings turn your weapon in that hand invisible.

Not sure how to take all of these runs. I have 125 hours into the game and take damage just running around and use all 11 flasks for almost all bosses of all levels. With a game this big, complex and sometimes unpredictable, I just don’t understand this level of players. Amazing job!!

48:05 it was 12 hours midir kill and he went on his way to do it in NG+7 for 18 hours, it was lowest damage possible, 1 damage per hit or 1.4 or something that doesn't show, it is so bad, his name is jowit, and the kill is in his twitch, the kill happened 2 months ago idk

you can one shot mohg pretty easily, if he does melee only, then he might have more of a challenge

there are ~150 bosses in elden ring, many are clones or 2 at the same time etc. variations, probably around ~80-100 unique
All bosses seems as insane as the God Run V3.
