Today we are in Irwinville, Georgia and we are checking out a unique piece of history, on this exact spot on May 10, 1865 Jefferson Davis was captured by union troops which ended the Civil War after four long years of battles.

My family has the revolver taken off Jefferson Davis when he was captured. My many time great grandfather took the gun from him we have very old typed true views of how this happened through my great great grandfather’s eyes his life seems to be pretty amazing story.

Thanks it’s actually handmade I purchased the jacket from a sporting goods store and I hand sewed the patches on myself and I intend to continue to acquire patches and continue to sew them on as I get them
