OMG - I so love this pair. Vanessa is a legend, and Morgan is so strong. I started watching them two or three years ago, and have felt for the past year or two they've been most unlucky or overlooked, or underjudged. But pairs and dance working together (WITH Guilliame) can only be a good thing. But this year, this year, is most definitely their year. The footwork this pair do into their jumps blows me away. The couples spin positions they get are so innovative. Keep up the great work, we love watching you and wish good things for you xxx
I watched this interview maybe 15x, I also watched their interviews in french, they are always open, willing to talk and funny and they always look at each other to decide who will respond. I love them. Please, invite Vanessa and Morgan again, they have a lot to talk and they will talk, I am sure. You can ask what you didn't last time. And, please, remember that the guests are the most important, so they deserve the bigger part of the screen, which they didn't have in this one 😞. I came from the Benoit Richaud Interview to this one. I enjoyed every minute of these 2 hours+ of talk. You make your guests confortable and they speak freely and honestly. it's so different from the other serious, impersonal interviews we read/see usually in figure skating. Well done!! I usually don't like TSL (for lots of reasons), BUT this was a great interview, mostly because Vanessa and Morgan are such cool, nice, humble, clear-headed, smart people, and, wow, do I love how they skate. Interesting how their career took off after they started working with John Z and his team and won Bronze at Europeans in 2017 (I was screaming at my computer monitor during their LP); and to date (Jan. 2019), their season has been all Gold: so happy for them. I love skaters who are unique because it feels right for them, not a "put on" uniqueness, which always shows as false. And working with Guillaume and Charlie has increased their artistry so much (innovative transitions, better extensions, etc.). In fact, they have fans now from all around the world (not just France or Europe); as do the incredible Gabriella and Guillaume (whose new 2019 programs just blew me away; they are so young still but so in sync with each other and also insist on going their own way: I love that they choose music that means something to them (even if it's too subtle for many in audience), multi-layered, choreography to match lyrics, just dancers who happen to be on the ice. So France has two power duos, who are each unique in their own ways, and I (from USA) love both of them. The comments on social media about both duos is positive and from all around the world (from South Africa to Hong Kong - truly, someone on a G/G fan page asked people who were raving where they lived, and it was absolutely amazing that every continent was represented. Audience (especially people who appreciate any kind of art) will recognize when a connection or a style of skating/dancing is "real". Yes, often ice-dancers, especially, have to play characters, but one can so easily tell when it's "over the top", "forced", or "faked". Both Vanessa/Morgan and Gabriella/Guillaume are "soulmates" (for lack of a better word), and all of us who love figure-skating and all kinds of arts are so glad we can get to watch them perform and move their sports forward in the best ways possible.
I really enjoyed this interview because it shows how athletes CAN take control of their career and really flourish because of it. Plus they are adorable!

No she doesn't talk too much. It's an interview, people want to know. Also, if you look at interviews in France, Morgan takes the lead and does most of the speaking, as French is his native tongue and he's most comfortable. They're both comfortable in different spaces.
Their programs this year are probably my favourite of all the teams - usually I like one or the other, but these two I love both! Charlie White & Giillaume Cizeron were a good call. This interview just stirred up a love for them so much! Vanessa is adorable!

It's athletic, it's strong, it's bold, it's smooth, it's modern, it has classic elements but not the classic "Russian pairs" style. They can skate to basically anything, but I love when they take the approach to for lack of a better term, a "dark" route like with Wicked Game, Sound of Silence, even Uninvited. And they match the skating skills with a distinct look and lawd, this girl can rock a catsuit like they were created only for her! I honestly hope they have a dream season and keep going until the next Olympics. They're a statement team and I'd love for them to make that statement and make their mark on the Olympic Games.

Too bad Vanessa has a boyfriend. I have such a huge crush on her :) They are my favorite pair... they have such a chemistry between them. Not even in sexual way, but they just seem to blend together so well... Pairs are not my favorite discipline because some pairs make me so anxious when I see bad throw jumps or wobbly lifts... they just look like they feel each other. Plus they are so contemporary and fresh and exciting. Vanessa looks so hot in her catsuits (I like her dresses too, but I prefer her in catsuit). Their skating is truly 21st century. And ooooh, Vanessa is such a cosmopolitan. Not to sound all SJW, but it's cool to see a black skater, especially of such cosmopolitan background.
Oh I agree…. He has sensuality just by standing on the ice….he is willing to push the boundaries of what he does on the ice and it works…. Vanessa is so beautiful that it’s impossible to not see these two together ❤
I really enjoyed the interview. I think it’s the most informative one I’ve seen them do. I’ve heard in previous interviews there was opposition to Morgan skating with Vanessa initially. This interview really gave you insight into how hard they had to fight to stay together. It really makes you appreciate their hard work and tenacity even more. I think that’s why they have a genuine bond. It’s like a double edge sword though. I want them to win the go,d at worlds. But at the same time I think if they do they may quit because they have reached the pinnacle of success. I know Vanessa will never go another 4 yrs . The Olympics would interfere with marriage and children etc😟
Vanessa is 31, she can easily go to the next Olympics and still get married and have children. Many career oriented women are delaying these things. Consider Serena Williams did have her child until age 35 or 36, Megan Markle the same. Even ex-president George W. Bush's daughter didn't get married until 35 or 36. Vanessa will be fine 2-3years to work on reaching more goals.

Super interview! Vanessa & Morgan were so honest and open, made it really enjoyable. Would have liked it even more if Jonathan stopped interrupting everyone but Dave did a great job at keeping the interview on track 👍 Loved it!
If that old movie "Cutting Edge" would have been a real life story...that would be them for just a slight bit being that Morgan is a bad boy and Vanessa is an ice princess on her own.

I am french so when in the same interview we talk about Vanessa and Morgan AND Gaby and Guillaume, I am just... So happy! It’s crazy to say that at only 23 Guillaume can make a program as good ! I love this four skaters and I hope they will do a double dance-pairs at the Worlds it would be beautiful!

Too bad Vanessa has a boyfriend. I have such a huge crush on her :)
They are my favorite pair... they have such a chemistry between them. Not even in sexual way, but they just seem to blend together so well... Pairs are not my favorite discipline because some pairs make me so anxious when I see bad throw jumps or wobbly lifts... they just look like they feel each other. Plus they are so contemporary and fresh and exciting. Vanessa looks so hot in her catsuits (I like her dresses too, but I prefer her in catsuit). Their skating is truly 21st century.
And ooooh, Vanessa is such a cosmopolitan. Not to sound all SJW, but it's cool to see a black skater, especially of such cosmopolitan background.
Vanessa has the greatest abs and really displays a magnetic confidence.

I really enjoyed the interview. I think it’s the most informative one I’ve seen them do. I’ve heard in previous interviews there was opposition to Morgan skating with Vanessa initially. This interview really gave you insight into how hard they had to fight to stay together. It really makes you appreciate their hard work and tenacity even more. I think that’s why they have a genuine bond. It’s like a double edge sword though. I want them to win the go,d at worlds. But at the same time I think if they do they may quit because they have reached the pinnacle of success. I know Vanessa will never go another 4 yrs . The Olympics would interfere with marriage and children etc😟
deelite6677 it is hard to quit when you reach the top because show offers and competition earnings can become quite lucrative.

Vanessa is 31, she can easily go to the next Olympics and still get married and have children. Many career oriented women are delaying these things. Consider Serena Williams did have her child until age 35 or 36, Megan Markle the same. Even ex-president George W. Bush's daughter didn't get married until 35 or 36. Vanessa will be fine 2-3years to work on reaching more goals.
