PC is a long term benefit. Just for less than $800 on Amazon/Ebay you can get a PC just like a PS5 that'll last you a solid 6-8 years, and even when you need to upgrade, it will cost you a fraction of that since you'll replace single components, not the whole thing.
Games go on 60% - 90% sales every week, we don't pay for online, there's modding, and so much more.
If you thought Stellar Bombardment was overpowered at the end, you should've seen when it was coded wrong and hit twice. Oh, the damage...

I still remember OG dragonkin minefield, that spell was so stupidly OP but it was counterbalanced by the fact that it would take my game to 1 FPS if I tried to use it

IIRC, you can enter Shabriri’s Chosen’s boss room by falling down the lift to Castle Morne. Such a cool addition to the mod.

This is a secret way to enter the arena after killing the boss. This will not work while the boss is alive

Fun fact: Rhys uses the night's cavalry moveset when they're knocked off their horse. A majority of his attacks are attacks the night's cavalry actually can use, but they never use because they just respawn the horse

I've been playing it since yesterday and honestly it brings back the difficulty because everything feels new and revamped. Stormveil is kicking my ass, I love the exaggerated amount of Banished Nights and Large Exile's they just kinda placed.. Everywhere. It's difficult again because it's new, but it's also difficult again because they just upped the difficulty of the levels by placing more/harder enemies. And some of these weapons are so cool, I tried 3 different classes so far, but the starting weapons of the Sellsword and Dreadnaught are insanely cool
Playing a dreadnaught now and loving how tanky it actually feels for a starter class.

Dude THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been searching for cosmic tunnel for many moons now. I got all the gravity runes, none of them had it. With the exception of astel (can't figure out how to get to him) I clapped every gravity related place I could think of. You helped a ton, great video!

I'm almost 100 hours in playing this mod, it has been fantastic. There are so many additions, new mechanics and quality of life changes, not to mention all the new bosses, weapons, etc. Once I'm done with Convergence, I'll give Reforged a try. To my knowledge, those are the only two "total conversion" mods out there.
So I think why Smarag is named like that is because here in Sweden at least the word "Smaragd" means "Emerald / valuable gemstone" in English and comes from the Greek word "Smaragdos". So since the dragon is quite literally COVERED in glintstone protrusions that looks blue-greenish, I think it's safe to say that it comes from those two words.
And thus, say it how you would in Swedish and that way it hopefully won't sound as weird!

Facts, I ALWAYS play wit h Convergence in fact I'm doing it right now with a friend. Gravity magic has a spell that's literally just Hollow Purple and it's fantastic

Something cool I just noticed is that Rhys, the Carian Paragon more than likely uses a spear as the Enchanted Knight class, which used the Carian Knight set, also used a spear. The one he uses heavily resembles the one used by the class, which was the standard Spear that Patches drops.
im so glad someone said it. the issue was never the balancing for me with the dlc. the issue was the levelling system used to cover up the poor balance. instead of crafting the bosses to be at whatever level you are at, they beefed the hell out of every boss and gave the players an annoying collectible to justify the insane buffing. the “just up ur scadutree level” comments are like saying “just get more runes to level up to level 300?” like the issue isnt the fact im underlevelled the issue is the boss damage isnt designed well.
Caimar is my all time favorite boss. absolutely the best boss i have ever fought
I have to disagree with the shadow of the erdtree take. The scadu tree mechanic is perfectly fine and i don’t understand why you hate it to be honest

It'd be cool if there was a katana with the normal sheath ability but when you pull it out *pause* it shoots out a gravity field that pushes then pulls the enemy to you.

Reverie Off the abyss 3rd dlc
I modded the underground putrescence area the garden of purple into whole new underground area, where you'll have to find a cure for st Trina, to be able to dive into her dreams, you need thiollier alive, he will stab you with his hidden needle a few times, which build up sleep, which makes you be able to enter her dreams
I love commader Gaius, his charge attack is so easy to dodge use a fallingstar beast as practice and you are good to go

U have to try the convergence with clevers, get the fire katana and see how everything can be melted that crazy much. The katana have the ability to dodge attack damn quickley and with 2 handed u are a firebender :p

They shouldn't have removed the Scadu Fragments system
They could have improved it by adding more fragments in the map, increase the lvl cap to 99 (like attack power in Sekiro)
Make some bosses drop fragments (why the Scadutree Avatar doesn't drop like 6 fragments or something)
Honestly, I'd rather it be largely left alone. Granted, given that the fragments only work in the DLC I'm not sure increasing the level cap will help general balance.

I mean if you want to fight weak Godrick, just play vanilla. Convergence actually makes his boss fight engaging and challenging.
As much as Ive love the convergence mod, there are points where they make some.. odd decisions, they can be very cool at times, but the sealed tunnel was converted to be a very Miqeulla themed area, its a very weird decision
Yea, but the mod doesn't really care for lore all that much so it just makes his fight better.
Convergence has a lot to it, but it comes in the form of loose files... so you get MASSIVE lockups from time to time as it loads those in (yes, on a M.2). Not at all fun when that happens during an attack or a boss fight.

@@Detriax Yeahhh, it is :) When you have files that are large or many and being loaded during gameplay it slows down the game. Especially if they are changing assets or adding assets that weren't cooked into the map originally. We call those loose files and they are loaded during gameplay. Anything else?
@ Almost everything in Elden Ring is assets (unlike in DS3) so almost NOTHING is baked into the maps, except for the actual terrain which is a map piece. Adding in more assets is probably not gonna be a loading issue. Take the new Raya Lucaria or Morne, they have a bunch of new assets, and the performance remains relatively the same. Though I have seen some complaints on low end machines. I used to work on the mod as a map editor, so I hope I know what I’m talking about

I won't deny the work put in but after my experience with DS3's divergence mod I doubt I'd be in the position to say this replaces base ER for me. DS3 divergence was neat, though.
I think the Elden Ring convergence mod is miles better than the DS3 version. I really didn’t like the DS3 one at all, but the Elden Ring one is awesome

I wish more elden ring mods would make completely new bosses without reusing animations from other fromsoft games
From what I understand it’s nearly impossible to create totally new animations for fromsoft games mods. The best it seems is possible is to splice together animations from different bosses to make moves that feel sort of new
Beyond what was explained above, it's just not going to happen.
Splicing is the best you'll be getting for Fromsoft modding no matter the game.
Every modded boss uses spliced animations, some are better at hiding them than others.
