Adore fuzzes! It was nice to hear someone actually demo a few and let them Sustain - one of the primary reasons I like fuzz so much. (After all, the “fuzz” control on BigMuff is called the Sustain control 😎). The ‘69 Fulltone, a DeMarco hand-made Klonebender II pedal, and, against the apparent flow, the Keeley FuzzBender are my favourites … and the quietest of my pack. It seems that too many players with the Keeley are just diving in from the beginning, not realising that it is a true original whose experience is enhanced by, oh, reading the accompanying manual as one searches the sounds (eg the Fuzz knob needs to start Low and gradually be turned up until one finds the sweet spots (plural!)… I also like the Vox Tone Bender MK II RI 1962/3 and JHS’s model of same. (I own the Vox, but the JHS clone has a wider swath of beautiful, useable fuzz across a huge spectrum of sounds)… I appreciated and enjoyed your work on this demo: would have to lean toward the Velvet fuzz, but with the different settings that I have used … perhaps my amps, modellers, guitars used might play a part in my very humble opinion, too… Verbose as always and thus did not do a very pithy answer to your closing question. Sorry. Perhaps my response will give you some fodder for future shows … 🤷🏼♂️… pit the pedals I mentioned against each other. Well done, nonetheless.👍. 🎸👨🏼⚕️🫶✌️♾️. Cheers/ Slainte and God bless. 🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸
Loved the chaos of the JPTR and the Beetronix, the others where just a bit too polite and predictable. Fuzz needs to take charge! I also like how Chris just appears in your video like a friendly little fuzz fairy 😂
I like the Beetronic with the octave. And the Jupiter was sounding good as ypu played single notes. But that does not mean the others were bad sounding. It's like you said. They all sound different. Its hard to find the real favourite.
Holy Fuzzy Winter Socks Batman! I think I loved every one of those. Especially when you were pushing the Volta Custom Fire Dirt into that beautiful sustaining madness.
I have the big Silver Machine fuzz - I actually bought it while watching your video on it. It's one of my favorite fuzzes. Now that they make a normal sized one, I need to pick up a second SM so I can have one that fits on my board, lol
Best fuzz in the video: Silver Machine Best fuzz I have: Fairfield Circuitry - The Unpleasant Surprise Best fuzz I wish to have: Evil Pumpkin If you are not having fun, then what's the point of doing it?
I love fuzz but I also usually down tune and play in lower tunings like drop A and G. So for me I prefer a fuzz that’s a little less fuzzy and a little more distortiony with that fuzzy side still there. That’s one of the reasons I really like the Wampler Velvet and plan on picking one up eventually.
Whats the point of doing it if your not enjoying it? Survival Staying alive in the hope that tomorrow I can maybe get a bit better Maybe one day have fun! Sorry to be depressed but you did ask
@@TheGuitarGeek oh Yeah! People like you & Henning are some of the reasons why I felt safe answering as I did. Personally whats fun for me is rather weirdly event managment watching people have a great time at events like Gear Street gives me a huge sense of en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudita which is why when I'm well I like making events like Gear Street happen Now if I could only get over my ADHD I might be able to learn to play an instrument. Yes, I watch multiple channels about guitars without any idea of how to play!!
Which was your favourite fuzz?
I'm not sure. It's all a bit fuzzy.
Edit: After a re-listen I found the Fire Dirt really nice. The Octahive was good too. Also without the octave.
The Velvet Fuzz remains my favorite fuzz. But since it seems different than most others, I sometimes think this means I don’t really like fuzz. 😄
The Silver Machine, for the insanely thick power
Hey. You sounded stressed a few days ago hang in you do great work and bring smiles to many so well. Thank you. :)

Thanks Thomas. There is certainly a lot going on here.

Wow! I like the WA Jupiter V2!
Good choice!

Never, ever turn off the Octave on that Beetronics OctaHive! It sounds that good!
I think it is missing something with that octave off

Fuuuuuuzzzzzzzz yessssssssssss. Good to see you’re getting your mojo back Andy, all power to your elbow (and fingers, obviously)
Best sound: Octahive
Best look: Jupiter
Best stank face: 5:17
Gotta agree on that stank face!
What’s fun is stacking a Rat (Velvet Fuzz) with a Big Muff!
Stacking is ALWAYS fun
That Silver Machine sounds like the morning after the end of the world, in the best possible way
It is! BRING ON THE END!
Oh, Volta and JPTR
Good choices Brother!
Thanks bro
No problem
Cool video. They all sound really good!
Jupiter and Red Dirt for me though.
Each of these pedals could be an entire video.
👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
I want that couch. Anyone know what it is?
Ask Henning!
where walrus audio eons..(?)
I believe this video was shot a few weeks ago, before Eons came out.
Correct!
The Volta Fire Dirt sounds nice, but not as good as the Okko Holy Grit, whitch tries to copy..
Whats the point of doing it if your not enjoying it?
Survival
Staying alive in the hope that tomorrow I can maybe get a bit better
Maybe one day have fun!
Sorry to be depressed but you did ask
I did ask. Survival is more than valid. Surely with a view to have fun with it at some point though, right?

Silvermachine for the win 😁
There are no losers here but there are a few winners
@@TheGuitarGeek true 👍🏼
Thank goodness we didn't get the moons of Jupiter...
Very much behind me.
Bye.
