I've got two Monteks with the 80W solar panel. Using one right now to run my PC because we had another power spike that zapped my PC. It's been running over 7 hours and has only used 38% battery. I have a lot of solar generators and this is best in class for anything requiring up to 1000W. Good job on the review. Quite colorful repartee. Full disclosure, John is a good friend since the early days of Montek. He is the man to see in the UK if you want a Montek.
Well for me it's pretty low in the power at1000w & only I AC plug as I already have two 1000w units, one cost £595 the other £809 / both have two AC plugs. I've seen another version of this different brand, but has the same speck . For me it's too expensive compared to other models ?
@@stephenboyd4934 I'm in the US, so we have two AC outlets. Montek is coming out with larger units with battery expansion that can also be DC stand alone. Extraordinary specs. As for price, I find it quite reasonable for such quality. I have many power stations in all sorts of sizes, capacity, output, capability. The intro pricing on the upcoming models you will not find anywhere else. The quality of materials and superior specs make the Monteks practically bespoke.
And only 1000w & would expect 2 AC sockets for something around £1000 ? Regarding the solar panel I'd expect to pay £1 per watt, this 80w at £155 a bit high too.
I have a 1m extension with 2 sockets. So that's that problem sorted. I paid £180 for my Elecaenta 120W and can't fault it. Had 100w out of it on the Montek on a good day. How many solar generators can fit a solar panel in it too? I've not seen any yet. It's perfect for me any what I do, hence the reason I bought one. 1 AC socket is fine for me. That will only be used in an emergency at home. All my outdoor gear is 12v DC, so again it's perfect for me and my equipment.
The one socket didnt bother me either as i do that extension cord trick when i used to go abroad i used one foreign socket adapter then a 4 socket extension cord

@@ScreamingDelkims I think will stick to my combustion 2 stroke generator and I can power a microwave off that, apologies to greta thurnberg it's not my fault it smokes
John- Top Notch video- I am glad you covered the 1C vs 3C discharge rate explaining why Monte gets 2000 Cycles from these NCM Batteriues.
Thanks Terry
