Nkuli, thanks for this Mhlekazi. Was telling abantu uba, Sol understands his role. And i love the example he used...Thato and Thato. He also said he doesn't gassed up - very important...I've listened to shows where the co-host competes with the anchor...and it sounds like a dog show. I'm a radiohead...the late Mansfield had Sam and Simpson...the synergy was amazing! Glen right now with Lelo and Ma Sgebengu...beautiful! Back in the day, Joe and "dadaman". I remember the first time listening to Joe doing the breakfast show 2000...knew it wasn't going to work.
Glen back at Metro in the morning - all i heard was someone else trying to prove that they are "equally important" - a complete vom show. Not only bigging up Sol because he's from my hood, Kathorus. He really does get it...don't know how else to put it...but he gets it, and that takes discipline! My opinion...and I don't expect others to get it - Jordan had Scottie, Malone had Stockton.

As someone who listened to Kaya breakfast show from the 1st day Dineo and Sol started working I can say there is a huge difference between how they connect to now what is happening between Sizwe and Sol.
Sol has been a co host since he started working on radio and he does well in that position. He just need someone who understands the dynamics of being a team Host like Sizwe.
Dineo in her nature is someone who is used to doing a show alone that's why even in Metro when she was paired with Lerato she would struggle sometimes.
Nkululeko my Brother please bring back this set up, the brick wall aesthetics. This setup gave us bo Sol, Bonga, Nota and Peneul dropping wisdom. I honestly miss those days. The new set up I feel like there is a disconnect and and the camera switch a lot. I love the podcast it's just my opinion as a huge fan. My favourite Guest is Andile Mgxitama especially the episode after you took the break ❤

These 2 people have different mandates, even in an office space there's rules, social media can really blow things up unnecessary, have they given the show time, perhaps we would see it. Radio has many things packed in that 3/2hr and advertising industry sometimes dectates by backing up more well known anchors and by far Dini is a senior anchor on the show. Sol time is coming, everyone must start somewhere. There's nothing wrong with that. Yes @ McG podcast things are more relaxed and not curated like radio people, yhooo this twitter nation is dectating employment contracts now, what's next people, what's next???

Dineo is good for radio at her own right, Sol is obviously superb, but the problem is Dineo wanting to claim the spot acting as the OH of the show and ended up overshadowing Sol, we can justify it all we want, but it's very evident that Dideo act as a superior to Sol, Sol being a good guy allows it to slide but that doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't feel how we as his fans feel. To be blunt and frank, Sol and Sizwe are a best combination than Sol and Dineo.

I have worked with ladies like that. The typical Bonang episode Luis on the young famous and African where one makes a pertinent issue into some gigantic creature just to create some inferiority feeling upon the one who gives tough competition. I am sure at some point your words were not even appropriate for radio (hypothetically). Keep working hard Sol, you are relevant and your career has not climax as yet.
