Guys I know you are having to reduce the size of your herd, due to many factors, only one of which is the logistics of moving and trying to be in two places at once. I just wanted to offer the use of my pasture just a few hours further north of Arkansas, just outside of KC. Our geriatric horse has passed away and the pasture is empty. If that would help you hold on to some of the bloodlines you really don't want to let go of, but feel you have no other choice, the offer is good for however long. I have 11 acres. shelter for them and my next door neighbor has had goats for 20 years and can be hands on help if needed. A couple of excellent vets within minutes, and a whole lots and lots of browse. I have hay contacts and a feed store our family has used for 55 years. I have watched a lot of the labors over and over I just can’t get enough of them. It may sound weird, but I have severe anxiety and I used to work in the medical variation and the school system and I just absolutely love Crystal the family and the goats I do not know what I did before this, butwatching every day and I’m forever grateful

Blessings sweet Crystal you act tough somtimes but we all know your pudding. There were two really hard kiddings there toward the end and then now the prolapse. Stress is horrible. A windshield repair guy once told me if you ever have to break a window to your vehicle. .. break the back windshield or the front. They are the cheapest and easiest to repair.

I read Crystal is down, and then the video started out with "Crystal yesterday, she couldn't feel her..." I heard legs, but I'm pretty sure you said ligs, as in ligaments? My first thought was "Oh no! Please tell me she didn't injure her spine like me and now she has no feeling in her legs?!" I thought you seemed very calm and didn't talk about her being in the hospital. Took me a second to figure it out. Lol.
Really hope she's ok though. Sounds a lot like covid, which could be made worse by stress. Please make sure you all take care of yourselves in case it is. Hard to avoid it spreading in a household and it can be devistatingly bad. Hopefully you're right though and it's just stress. Thanks for keeping us updated and I hope she feels better soon.

Tell Crystal not to take it all upon herself. Ultimately what we consider OUR stresses and failures aren't ours at all. It is part of being in animal husbandry. Windshields are one of those things that people think they do not want to have to file an insurance claim for. The thing is windshields are a safety issue. They have to pay for it and they can not raise your rates for it. Just saying.

There’s a chest cold going around and stress does lower the immune system. Crystal if you see this gargle with saltwater that’s what the doctors told me to do, get rest as much as you can warm liquids like tea and soup! Lastly if you have a sore throat honey works wonders to coat it and get it healing!

Thanks for the update :) Yeah, that's one thing I don't miss about living in Arizona - that intense dry heat does take a toll on the glass in vehicles (and longevity of their batteries!) but glad y'all are getting those windshields replaced, so you'll have clear vision for driving again.
