You are literally seeing the future of rock bouncers - that Outlaw buggy just SMOKED these two hills! You can totally see the difference: independent suspension soaks up the bumps & ledges instead of catapulting the buggy around. I've already seen short vids of the Outlaw, but after seeing the whole carnage of these two hills I'm even more impressed... Oo And as always: Thanks for filming and putting out those videos for us! I know how much work & time they take... :-)
I remember lots of folks thought this was the beginning of the end for the solid axle. People have said that for a few decades now - rock crawling, rock bouncing, mud running, straight hill climbing, etc. Some people just never learn.... It certainly was a great video, though; they always are. Keep up the great work!
Great production. Thanks for taking us city folks to the woods with you! I would like to see more behind the scenes footage ( race prep, maintenance, buggy builds).
@@BustedKnuckleVideo I wasn’t paying attention to when you launched that video. 5yrs ago! I agree with you that as good as the side by side is. I have seen some dismal performances by it as well. THANKS SO MUCH, i have been to the web site and reposted the event on my page and i have pre-paid for our site, i just bought a 2017 razor 1000, and can't wait to have fun with it, see you their
i was betting 3 to climb it look at that, nasty hills forsure and badass rigs great footage as always and thanks for the times love to see this sport growing cheers
Solid axles were never "in" to begin with. The bouncer guys just kept copying each other's bad ideas over and over because it's relatively easy to build. Every single truck built with solid axles bounces all over the place, suspension is stiff as fuck, no control, tires in the air all the time losing traction,...completely stupid other than being entertaining for the crowd. Properly setup and tuned IFS/IRS keeps the tires planted, maintains control, and is far superior for this kind competition. Clearly Hollingsworth understood this.
Where can I keep up with upcoming events in Alabama? Also leaderboards? Etc. I'm new to this and I'm in love with it already. Can u point me in the right direction?
Awesome! I love Rock Crawling. But I've always wondered if anyone has approached the military with these vehicles. The Fast Attack Vehicle is just a dune buggy with guns, image what SF forces could do with one of these!
I can't help it man I just had to comment on hulk!!that tough ass buggy stole the show,in my opinion, but haven't watched it all yet lol.... sumbich can drive and was so damn determined!! Awesome content man I got to subscribe!! So from Milledgeville Georgia have a great Thanksgiving
I think Travis could have had a 2nd or 3rd place time on that last hill if his buggy would have not broke. Clayton killed those hills. Can't wait to come out and see everybody race! Hey Matt, you gone be at Stoney lonesome on nov 18 for the str8 up sxs series?
Lol. When I see this from the camera view looking down hill I'm like damn I bet I could crawl that in my jeep. But I'm sure if being there and see how steep it really is would change my mine lol
@@BustedKnuckleVideo Is the park in Stevenson permanently closed? I live in Central Alabama and want to see some of this stuff in person. If so, what's the next closest race I can see? BTW, me and my buddies can sit in the cave and watch your videos all day. Never get old. Knucks to you bro
If I were one of those drivers I'd be constantly annoyed over how close some people stand too close to the track. Wouldn't feel like I could go all out when they are standing there & trying to run away when I get close
Great videos. No goofy narrative, no juvenile music. Just a cylinder symphony. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!

The outlaw every time, I knew that buggy was special first time seeing it.
It was revolutionary
Just shows the level of competition when Timmy C is an also ran. Awesome footage! Thanks!
tough competition nowadays
18:30 to 19:27 and after a back flip pirouette half gainer. Steam rolling of her. He still takes her over the top. Killer run. 💪😎👍

Many people think it's easy but find out quickly that it is not
Style points for rolling over and landing in a a wheelie!
Bonus points
THE PLOW BOY BUGGY LOOKS TOUGH AND COOL, MARVELOUS DESIGN.......
It is awesome
IFS FRONT N REAR WITH THE DRIVER N ENGINE IN THE CENTER MAKES FOR A NIMBLE N BALANCED RIG THAT'LL BE HARD TO BEAT , GREAT SHOW !!!!
It works well!
that outlaw buggy is something else entirely!!!!
its one amazing machine
Axle shaft companies love these guys.
Now they run 47 spline RCVs and never break them
did anyone realize the guy in the yellow vest running right were the buggy was rolling multiple times like he thought he could catch it
He so had it 😬
That was the BEST EVENT ever! Great job.
Thanks! I really enjoyed this episode also
thanks for sharing brother, we don't have these kind of races up here in maine so to be able too see them on your channel is awesome
Joe Pierce is from main and races, we will be in New Hampshire in May to race also

Stoney is that in Alabama if not theres one in Bama called that good trails great rideing
It sure is great place to wheel
Still not convinced. He caught a good line and a good bounce.
convinced of what?
Outlaw seems like the vehicle to beat! are solid axles on the way out in favor of IFS/IRS?
If he continues to drive like that they will!
for sure

Couldn't agree more, don't forget a low center of gravity design, low weight and aggressive cut tires.
That was brilliant 👌 LOVE the slow motion , looks like outlaw has re-written the build rules .
there are no build rules
BustedKnuckleVideo , I was trying to refer to the way these rods may be built in future as in suspension and engine placing 👌
True, still waiting to find the weak link on this machine
@@BustedKnuckleVideo the engine at the side got me right away, it hardly back flips at least I've never seen it, it's well balanced.
@@daveelcock9476 outlaw works well for sure
You boys must take a note from the Outlaw's layout. Asymmetrical engine placement and tires. Buggy Builds Matter!
it was all well and good until he swapped the rear to a solid axle
Where can I keep up with upcoming events in Alabama? Also leaderboards? Etc. I'm new to this and I'm in love with it already. Can u point me in the right direction?
www.southernrockracingseries.com
when they are competing do they have rules like vehicle hight, size and tire size,hp or is it a anything goes?
anything goes, just safety requirements
Very fantastic racing super speed and super power.
they defy laws of physics
Clayton's build looks like what Joe Thompson is doing over at UFO racing for the king of the hammers stuff. I wonder who inspired who?
I think Clayton based his off of his years of wheeling rail buggies type vehicles before he built this bouncer
Awesome! I love Rock Crawling. But I've always wondered if anyone has approached the military with these vehicles. The Fast Attack Vehicle is just a dune buggy with guns, image what SF forces could do with one of these!
They are too slow for the desert
YES MAN!! STICK A PAIR OF ROCKETS AND NUCLEAR MISSILES ON THE ROOF COLL THEM CITY BOUNCERS......?
That is some serious off road racing!!! 2nd only to Baja racing in my like list this is off the HOOK!!!!
I'd like to try a trophy truck
Dang ! Clayton and The Outlaw.. Don't seem fair to everybody else... but it is BAD ASS !!!!!!
He killed it!
Great videos and where can I find a schedule of future events?
Thanks check out www.srrs.rocks for the full 2017 schedule. The next race is at our park in Stevenson, Alabama Arpil 28-30th
granddaughter here with me watching videos of rock bouncers says I'm to old for that
lol, we have some old timers in the sport
That old powder rock is slicker than a fried egg.
facts
Well here we are several years later and from this you would think all buggies would look like Outlaw, but, they dont. What happened with it?
It worked well for this event but broke a lot of
Hill is claiming drivetrains left and right!
It is a tough one
hey , just curious does the official have a shut down remote on these trucks much like monster jam uses in their events ?
They sure do!
Shawn’os 80 series would drive that
doubtful
Make it or break it they do to. Great videos.

it takes a lot
Side engine mounting looks like the way to go!

good luck on that
THE OUTLAW IS ONE BADASS MACHINE 👍👍👍
no doubt about it
Awesome videos one bad a?? Hill 💯💯💪💪💪👍
It is a good one, too bad we don't race there anymore
So i kept wondering why the Outlaw #2 chose to use solid rear axle?
IMO all independent axle is more badass
I think they worked better when there were all IFS
12:18, even the safety guy fell down the hill.
rookies...
Rock on out law 👍
Rock it
These things defy the laws of gravity 😮
that is what makes them so great
There's got to be so.ething about outlaw buggy weight distribution that thing always stays so flat all the time
it works well
Yep that’s it 👏🏻🍻 I’ll see if we can make it to a event too !!!!!! That would be fn awesome!!!!! Is the 18’ schedule out yet ? Thanks for the help 🤜🏻

Very easy for clayton.. May i ask why?
That independent suspension just worked somehow
Non stop acceleration and engine abuse! Amazing how these buggies stay together! Brain concussion City!
they build them tough
How much does it cost to build something like this?
80-150k on average

I'm guessing these guys use a dry sump system due to the way the engines get tossed around otherwise they would be starving them of precious oil
