I can understand what Zak is saying about the beat of the song but I think they also knew how the beat or melody of the song would affect people. For me the melody conveys hope. It says to me, I hope we can make a difference, I hope our fans will see the message but instead of getting sad about world condition, the song motivates small changes. If beat was slower, someone who grew up oppressed or seeing constant war may internalize it and get more depressed but if I didn't know the lyrics, the beat draws me in, then the lyrics encourage me to make changes where I'm able whether that's just recycling or openly protesting injustice. I noticed Nikkee did walk or run for cancer. Will it immediately stop the disease, no, but the money raised can go towards research or bring more awareness to it.
