It has nothing to do with music. as correctly noted above, retrowave musicians draw inspiration from this theme, but there is also a horror synth, for example, which draws inspiration from horror films of the 80s. There is also the midtempo genre that came out of techno, and now some musicians also use the cyberpunk theme to create their own image or covers or the atmosphere of the track itself, but there are also many who do not use it. Initially, midtempo was just club music. In short, cyberpunk is not a musical genre, I hope I was able to convince you. =)
