I just bought my Imusa comal yesterday. Why did my non stick comal start sticking after about 15 minutes of making tortillas? It was doing great about the first 8 tortillas then it started sticking. I lowered the heat thinking that was the case, but it was too low. It ruined the last 4 tortillas and now it is no longer smooth. I have buyers remorse. All my other comals work great, but I saw demonstrations on RUclips and wanted one. Right now it is soaking. Advice needed.
Why don't they make a nonstick comal large enough for 2 tortillas? Heavy bottom, nonstick 16" across. I'd buy that

Hi, Yes you may. It is flat so it makes it a little hard, but you may. It is made of carbon steel with nonstick so food will not stick.
I'd like to know if this will warp ... it looks very thin

Hi, I was using this product and the actual non-stick surface is burnt, is it safe to still use it? And what could’ve caused this problem so I can avoid burning the non-stick surface again?
maybe the temp was too high?
