Amsterdam - Kickboxing.

In this video we gonna talk about Dutch kickboxing with famous coaches - Bert Kops and Mike Passenier. We are visiting Mike’s Gym and Kops Gym in Amsterdam. Friday's sparrings and discussion about money fights, fighter's mentality and talented guys.

Its no coincidence the Dutch produced so many legends. We are not only strongly built (ave dutch bloke is 6 ft and got a lot of pretty good nutricious food in their younger years) but it also stems from history. As the late Cruijff stated, the Dutch are proactive, innovative, out of the box, "who is small as a nation needs to be clever".
We like to attack without too much respect. So when Amsterdam was flourishing in the golden 17th century, we broke the chain on the river Thames and stole the mother ship of the English fleet. Furthermore, the Dutch like to trade and were ie the first to trade with the Japanese. A few centuries onwards some fighters from Holland visited Japan and also with the knowledge they got over there started kickboxing in the early seventies if im not mistaken.
Its the open minded character of the Dutch to also let minorities join and even pick up from them. Whether its the thai boxers, the Dutch come over and have a go or give it a close look how they train. Always eye for the technical aspect, always eye for detail, for tactics... like Kops said u need IQ... in conclusion, here u imho got the reasons why.
Btw, our football team currently sucks due to the fact not enough ppl in Dutch football know what Cruijff is all about. Too much of a Van Gaal influence, to put it this way.
