    I’m a 38 year old beer leaguer who has been playing for 25 years. I’m finally at a point where I want to practice more and get better. At this point I’d just like to be an above average C league player.
    I love your videos and instruction. I’ve got the FMT marsblades and they are great. Already noticing some improvement in my skating on the ice.
    Love the videos of the skating and stick handling drills. Thanks!

    I started playing about 4 years ago and your videos have helped a ton. I went being a bender who cant skate backwards and now I'll be playing in our annual fire dept vs police dept hockey game next season.

    The drills he's doing with the circles on one leg around 3:40 would be more beneficial to use your inside foot because lots of young players tend to just use the outside foot, feeding the habit of not using their inside foot which is the opposite of what you want

    • @CoachJeremy
      @CoachJeremy  8 лет назад +1

      +Brandon Manthe Do you mean the outside edge? That's also a good drill, but harder to do while sustaining speed like the drill at 3:40. We normally use the outside edge after the inside edge drill shown at 2:50

    Great video! Are the marsblades specifically made for off-ice training? Do you reckon they would be good for playing inline hockey?

    Great video, Jeremy. I have a problem with the Marsblade. I have them, and they've just been falling apart since day one. I dont know if it's just mine, but it's made very poorly. Where it rocks back and forth keeps coming apart, and the wheels always fly off because the screws just dont stay on. Disappointed by the product.

    What's the strongest, yet cheapest goal you've seen? Because my Mylec "Street Hockey" goal gets a hole everytime I use a 1 oz street hockey ball at it, and I've been using zip ties to patch it back up.

    • @CoachJeremy

      +Ines Lep You can still do these with regular rollerblades.

    • @ZeVioloniste
      @ZeVioloniste 8 лет назад

      +The Hockey Movement by How To Hockey well apparently not the backwards skating at 0:20. On the ice I can but with the rollerblades I have it just doesn't work. Maybe it's just me.

    • @QBziZ
      @QBziZ 8 лет назад

      +Ines Lep Inline hockey players can do this no problem. Myself I am still learning inline and that kind of move is one of the hardest. Probably best to start with regular backward crossovers in a circle, then russian circles and then at speed like in the clip.

    • @ZeVioloniste
      @ZeVioloniste 8 лет назад

      +QBziZ but I didn't just start rollerblading now. I've had rollerblades since I was 4 and I started before even playing on the ice. So I can go backwards perfectly fine but not these kind of turns.. Well I'll just try harder i guess, thanks!

    remember when these videos were helpful hockey tips and not commercials so this guy can get free stuff

    • @CoachJeremy
      @CoachJeremy  8 лет назад +6

      +michael lane Remember when I used to share hockey tips with a cheap camera on a tripod in my backyard, but now I'm sharing even better hockey tips that are professionally recorded and produced? Honestly, the video is 90% tips to help hockey players improve and 10% talking about the company that flew me to California, brought a camera crew, and recorded and edited a video to help others. If you thought this was a commercial you clearly didn't watch the video from 1:01 to 4:30 you could do these drills on any inline skate.

    • @michaellane732
      @michaellane732 8 лет назад

      I liked the video's taped in the backyard on the tripod. Good, honest videos from someone who seemed sincere. The past 6 months every other video has been nothing but one guy scoring free merchandise. Just off the top of my head I think you got colt sticks, sparx sharpener, hockey bags, synthetic ice, hockey nets, and I'm sure plenty more. Oh yeah, a trip to California. Take it however you want, but apparently in an attempt to have the fanciest hockey RUclips channel with the best production values the hockey movement is a part time infomercial.

    • @MrMitchywoo
      @MrMitchywoo 8 лет назад

      Why are you so salty? Cuz Jeremy isn't "underground" anymore? I prefer the production he has now and I love hearing about the new companies, I had never even heard of this product until now and most like wouldn't have if he didn't do this video. I don't know the guy but you can tell from day one that he's 100% legit and sincere, when has he not been enthusiastic about hockey and helping people learn? Don't be such a Debbie downer because he's achieving success at his passion

    • @CoachJeremy
      @CoachJeremy  8 лет назад +3

      +michael lane Don't worry I still have lots of backyard videos planned. Whenever I get a chance to work with a company, I always brainstorm how I can turn it into a video to help or entertain hockey players.
      I used to upload one video a month and people wanted more but I couldn't because of work. As the channel grew companies wanted in, but it wasn't part of why I started How To Hockey. Then came the decision, make money so I can spend more time making videos, or keep it all free and only do one a month. That's when I started The Hockey Movement and decided to do one video a week, but work companies into it. I still try doing at least one video a month where it's just me teaching something, recently I did the forward stride video, how to beat the goalie, 5 acceleration drills and how to hit the net.

    • @ScottFreeSBP

      Mars blade isn't coca cola dude, he's talking about a product that he pretty clearly believes in (seeing as he'd have to alter a pair of his inlines to fit the mars blade frame) thats produced by a company thats target market is serious hockey players. Dude puts his heart in to this channel, why begrudge him a chance to make an honest living from it.
