Traveling to Paradise to Inspect a Diesel Motorhome

- I was contacted by a out of state dealer to see if I could look at a recently purchased 2008 Fleetwood Expedition to see if is was a good buy and if it could cross the country safely. Normally I do not travel outside the East Valley region of Phoenix, but this was located in Sedona, AZ. How could I not want to go there at the height of Autumn?
So here is a segmented inspection and walk-thru with a few tips and tricks thrown in video, and I hope you enjoy.

You scare the crap out of me when you walk on the edge of a roof, it brings back really bad memories and then I remember the pain. Nice video stay safe.

Sedona is pretty and right on the edge of the forest. Too bad it's still dry and gets too hot in the summer months. There's some nice hikes up there during the right time of year but can be difficult to find a parking space.

Very thorough inspection! Every time you are walking around on a roof and lean over the side, I tense up a little. I’m so clumsy I would fall off every time! Stay safe! I always enjoy your videos!

that urathane sealer that is around the stuff like the ladder mounts and vents do reqiure a reseal and that roof needs a re seal.........
I keep that same little air compressor in the bay of my 5th wheel .
Love Sedona and was my favorite weekend trip from San Diego, but that was back in 1984 when I got a new 300Z. Before my RV days. This was a very low mileage diesel for the year. Glad you got to go for an inspection. Did you ever work on the Georgetown from VA?

I have goodyears and the goodyear corporate store told me they can go 10 years on their RV tires because it uses a special rubber compound. I am at 7 years and have them inspected every year by them and they are holding up. Have you heard this of goodyear, thanks.

Great thorough inspection! Usually how much time does an inspection take? Any can you tell us what you charge? That was probably one of the best 08 Expeditions in AZ.

Does anyone know about waterproofing roof openings by heat welding the openings around vents and AC units?
I have to wonder what a unit like this should sell for....
Also, if you do the gas test again I sure would like to see the set up and equipment.....

question....we looked at a 2010 Bounder and found cracks in the fiberglass on the bottom corners of the main slide out. Do you have any advice for us to assess this type of damage. ?
What about the gearbox etc?

How would you check the toilet if you're doing an inspection for a private buyer.
I just went through an inspection for an rv I thought will me my at the end of the week. Well the dealer wanted me to buy the rv without getting the report. We said no got our deposit and walked away. Is this a normal behavior for a dealer.?
