The current band especially Nita Strauss revived Alice in a lot of ways (though he has always been great) Nita Strauss's energy and excellent playing just continue to amaze me and this band can play every song in Alice's long and great discography. They are hands down the best lineup he has ever had and he had some great ones. The second best one he had was in the late 80's with Kane Roberts and company. The original band while fun with the manic behavior were not that tight musically. Once Alice went solo he started rocking with musicians who can flat out play. Glen Sobel is an amazing drummer as well. Strauss really adds a level of excitement and keeps Alice looking young. You can tell he enjoys the current band so much, I do as well.
You are absolutely correct... you are spot on.. The bass player is excellent too.This is a band totally dedicated to putting on a great show for the fans of rock and roll.If they are in your area don't miss them because they are truly GREAT!
Old School Rock Is Best woah woah woah, did you just say the original lineup wasn’t musically tight?? I think you need to relisten to their 7 albums (mainly 5 after first two were experimental) because they are no question the best lineup and imo the greatest band of all time
Saw Alice Cooper in Dubuque earlier this month (July, 2019). Fun show. Alice can still sing, can still perform , and the band plays -- as in this video -- with energy. Happy to see most comments on Nita commend her ability to play and perform instead of making juvenile observations. Hope Alice Cooper rocks on for many years.

This show wasn't much different than 1978 when Sweet opened up for him. and the greatest performer i've ever seen (and yes Ive seen them all) was Freddie Mercury.
Me too! I am a huge Alice fan, but Nita is why I clicked on this, used to sit and watch Iron Maidens videos just to see her, her solo work is also amazing

Nita plays, looks and even acts the part perfectly. Not many bands have guitarists these days who add this much to the show. She is in the shrinking club with the likes of Phil Demmel, Richie Falkner and Steve Morse. And the best part is she doesn't really bore people with feminist bullcrap. I really respect her because she doesn't force me to respect her because she's a woman who does something mostly done by men. She's helluva guitarist!

I just don't get the reasoning for playing *both* Feed My Frankenstein & Teenage Frankenstein? Could have ditched the overdone FMF in favor of another less played song..

But as a fan who resigned to the thought of the stage show growing stale, which it most certainly did for 10 years, I'm pleased beyond belief with this show. Sure the guillotine is still present, I would have preferred the gallows but since Alice is 71 years old it that particular stunt could actually be too harrowing for him to do, so I don't really mind it. I'm actually shocked to see two whole songs representing Constrictor & RYFY on here :)
The new show is great. Bed of Nails, My Stars, Teenage Frankenstein and Roses on White Lace all are highlights in the new show and sound great. The only song in the entire set that doesn't work is Raped and Freezin'
It is part of the show. What hair flipping has to do with how good the show sounds is beyond me. Sounds like you are just looking for an excuse to attack what many music critics have stated is the best band of Alice's career. If you don't like it simply don't go to the live shows, don't watch You Tube clips and don't listen to Alice.
Disappointed. The audience is louder than the band. Guess that's what you get when you're just shooting with a crappy cell phone. Was hoping for better.
It might not be. Last few times I've seen Alice Cooper is was sooo quiet!!! We could hear every conversation around us the volume was so low. Don't know if it's the venue or Alice just doesn't turn the volume up.
Nita Strauss has added so much to Alice's show. She is getting tons of publicity, won female guitarist of the year, is doing some stuff with the WWE etc. She has brought him so much new press. She is an asset and outside of Alice is the best musician in the band as great as the others are

A lot of bands have guitarist who do that. Even Iron Maiden's Janick Yers does that. It adds so much to the show instead of these bands where the musicians look worn out. She isn't tired. She works out all the time and makes the show so much more fun.
