Your blues playing is great, remember Black Sabbath, and so many metal bands from the 80's incorporated the blues as does Mark Morton from LOG, and his signature model real shines through in this vid. We all don't want our faces melted and high gain 24/7, mate, I love Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, his playing ability, tone and feel easily matches my metal favs like Gary Holt, Jake.E.Lee. Sunday Arvo's have always been my chillout BBQ, Beer & Blues day with SRV, Hendrix, Cream/Clapton, Allman Brothers etc, so you are definitely on the right track mate. Its expensive for all of us even the ones living in 1st world countries, I live in india things are expensive here too. Just keep at it man. Good luck, keep practicing with what you have at the moment and check the 2nd hand market.
First time for me to see how far plug ins have come, this would work for so much, I’m thinking 80s metal but yeah very versatile, when you were playing mastodon I also heard a tone that would work for Metallica
I’ve tried it with my super strats with singles. It’s a cool tone, I found the patch called country lead. It was really nice and tweaked it a little to suit

You are one of the few (maybe the only) top RUclipsr who always uses headphones when you are tracking in your videos. And your mixes and tones are always top notch !! This made me curious and busted the myth that headphones for Music production are a no go. Thank you
Thanks mate, I think it’s what you get used to. Roland RH300’s. I learned to like headphones as I get a full sound without annoying anybody. Real amps are awesome if you get to open the throttle but I don’t really have that option.
I love to get bluesy once in a while. I actually nearly forgot how to play Metal at one point, and everything I played just sounded hard rock infused with blues 😂
