- Another comparison video, this time with a real 1950s Fender Precision bass vs the coveted early 80s Fender Avri reissue.
Two amazing instruments with a lot of similarities but I will let you decide which one sounds better.
Enjoy
Thanks Andy. 59’s tone is my preference. As someone else commented, would be nice if the original pickups were left in the bass for testing. Agreed, the neck on the AVRI is amazing. I have had one and it was very comfortable and stable.
What a monster bass intro and sound demo - that's why I love this channel 👍
I hear more Mid on the 57... It would be nice to have the original PU on it for comparison... But TY !
Great comparison video Andy!

Love the 50's precision basses ,especially the 57 precision
My dream bass .
Sounded pretty much the same me, what a beautiful pair 😎
The early 80's fullerton basses (reissue and standard) have the most beautifully shaped and chamfered necks.Try one out if you find one.Great vidoeo! thanks!
Avri sounds better for me
Good work, sir!
Lepszy jest original,gorszy jest 1983,pozdrawiam.
