- The SGNL team is at CES and Sony invited them to get an exclusive look at the latest gear announced for the 2011 show. In this episode, Anthony gets a hands-on look at the newest camcorder to join the Handycam line up. The Sony HDR-TD10 High-Definition Flash Memory Handycam Camcorder. Fantastic! 2D AND 3D! Now that was a great idea. Being able to use watch the recorded images back in 3D on the built-in screen WITHOUT glasses, wow! That's another great one. HD and Sony quality make this bad boy on my purchasing as soon as it's released. I wonder what it records to? SD cards SDHC cards, internal memory, etc. Any max capacity? Image stabiliser? Night shot lux rating? Bluetooth? WiFi? EyeFi? Remote controller? Photo snap function for 2D & 3D? Sound quality, Tripod & light holder?
@technologyms actually as far as I know, Adobe After Effects has 3D Authoring, so does Sony Vegas Pro

So this lady working for Sony says there is no editing software available right now for working with the 3D footage from this camera? Seriously?
Would be great if a new version of FCP could edit this format. I guess Vegas will do it first though.

Sony Vegas does 3D editing. Will this camera not work on Sony Vegas?
Questions that needed to be asked:
Any HDMI-in to view 3D media on the device's own display?
If a recording is in 3D, can it be converted by the camera/software to 2D to be edited by computer?
Storage space?
Man if this were cheaper and had a utilitarian software option I would want one of these in a heartbeat
@jackdanielmason well the regular old 2d sony handycams record in VOB, im sure the 3D format would be different

Leave it to Sony to not know that their own software edits 3d. Unfortunately as good as Sony Vegas Pro is they have never really put their full support behind it since they bought it from Sonic Foundry.
No editing software? Adobe CS5 will do 3D editing. Love my old HDR-SR10...I might have to upgrade now.
I cannot transfer the 3d images I took with this camera to my pc. Can you help me? It is transferred to pc as 2d, in this case, what should I do? Is there a setting I need to do from the camera or is there a program I need to install.
Sony missed a huge opportunity with her saying that there is NO editing software available right now. Helllooooo! Vegas Pro 10! WTF?
I mean if its flash memory your gonna get huge amounts of video compression compared to say a Compact Flash Card or an HDD.

This girl is clueless that Sony Vegas 10 edits in 3D, it's actually one of the selling features of it. And she says "there is currently no 3D editing software, and who wants to sit home and edit anyway..." Helloo... Sony....
