- It is hard for us to imagine a place where we never have to part from our loved ones again. Although we are saddened and shocked to lose loved ones, we expect finite existences in this sinful world. The concept of forever hurts my brain to think about - I just can't comprehend it! Having laid my aunty to rest this week, I think of a place and a time where no parting is necessary and my brain can't comprehend that either - though it longs for it! We were never designed for loss, we were never meant to say goodbye. I can't wait for a time when we don't have to!

The words of this blessed hymn say, “And soon we shall with Jesus reign, And never, never part again.” The implications of this thought hold a truth of Christ’s Spirit in Heaven I’ve treasured in my heart but never thought it possible to fully comprehend the how or why of this truth. Soon too I’ll shall be departing this world to be with Jesus. Thank you for your valuable and blessed ministry.

My condolences, dear sister in Christ. Thessalonians always comfort me, of course even more 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV. Fountainview Academy has actually put those words of the Bible into a song years ago, if you are interested. The modern appendix to Amazing Grace actually put forever into perspective for me, so it is a verse, that I love, even though it is not a John Newton original.
