Hey thanks Hadyn yes I was a shock when Pete took her back off me but the time was right and I was glad she went to a good home plus I see her regularly which is ace. I hope you enjoy the 89 build that’s a very different one.

What a stunner Marc. Incredible what you did to that shell and what a fitting finish undertaken by Pete. That is one very special little car that deserves the pampered life it will get going forward. I was lucky enough to see this car in person at l2b and can honestly say it looks as amazing on camera as it does off camera (if not better!). I love the colour and the fact it helped prove that you don't need tens of thousands of pounds to restore a car! Great work!👍

I agree with everything Pete has done to Amber but IMO the 1275GT badges and stripes would spoil it. It's not a GT and it doesn't need to pretend to be one, it's brilliant the way it is.
Completely agreed that’s the vibe I would have done with the car all plain jane and just how she is now just with some Dunlop wheels aha
@@SimpsonsClassics Wey you know me mate, I was all about the D1's and harvest gold. Unfortunately for us, it's Pete's car and it does look amazing but not what we would have done.

I had a blaze 1275 GT, did a stage 1 conversion, Piper cam etc. Dunlop alloys. Absolutely loved it. Reg was EOV 759L. 😂

Hello, I seem to remember watching an episode where you cut and polished this mini with G3 and/or other compounds. Please would you point me to that video and/or let me know what you used and in what order as I need to refinish the right bum of my Vespa 300 GTS. Hi there David thank you for your watching. Yes I started to polish this car then my good friend wanted to buy it so it got professionally finished off. My method was to flat the paint with a fine paper like 3000 2500 then go in with the G3 then move on to the light compound after and keep going until your happy but obviously avoid burning through 👍
@@SimpsonsClassics yes, I thought you used G3 and I do have some very fine sandpaper. eBay advertises 500ml of G3, G10 and G3 wax for £31, so I think I’ll go with that and be gentle.
