@Sage Novak Well, it depends how the band plays it, whether the teacher modifies it or not. We're beginning this piece in a few days and, knowing my teacher, he's going to modify a couple aspects of the songs to pump it up, such as dynamics.
Moon Light always reminded me of a clarinet, but it sounds beautiful! I bet you can play it very well. We don’t even have one in our school band and I am in two of them XD
Weak arrangement. Has none of the fire, and accent that Bobby Timmons intended in his original composition. This is supposed to be a hard driving, heavily punctuated, call and response, "Hallelujah" chorus, type piece. This one kinda all runs together; more like a monotonic, soliloquy. To say, "...it loses a lot in the transcription...", is an understatement!😕
This was my favorite song in jazz band. I played on drum set
WitherSk3ley Is that you Colin

Listen to the art blakey version and you'll realize why people don't like this arrangement.
Honestly the original wasn’t even that hard of a rhythm to just fully cover for an arrangement
Wow🤩
Tuba was fun to play for this song. Not to hard of parts.
The art Blakey version is superior
ya boy are you dumb or just trolling
probably dumb

Buenas! Alguno seria tan amable de pasarme el arreglo? Me avisan y les paso mi mail 🙏
I play this on soprano sax 😊
Moon Light is the soprano sax a really common instrument? I don’t see it too often. Makes me sad. Do you enjoy it?
Ali kkat it’s a bit rare, mainly used for solos or professional bands. It’s a bit hard to play but I do enjoy it

The hard driving swing is 2:18.
It still isn’t that bad bro like to just copy the whole arrangement would be technically plagiarizing
