To be honest in my opinion DmC Devil may cry is 100 times better than this game dmc4 isn't even a dmc game it is just pain when I died while playing as Nero, I had either combo B or combo C I can't remember but when I died it got rid of it and not only that but it didn't give me back the lost souls I had SCREW DMC4 I RATHER PLAY DMC2 THAN THAT SHIT.

Love the screenshake and sfx, all Rebellion moves feel really powerful in DMC4.
they dropped the ball _big time_ with how weak and lacking in impact most moves feel like in DMC5, rather tame audio-visual feedback.
Hell, just compare cerberus from DMC3 to DMC5 to see how they massacred my boi 😤
DMC3 and 4 have excellent feedback both in character and weapon sounds, as well as visual effects (not to mention style and swagger for days in their cutscenes)
@@marimoerostraw tbh I really hate all the gun sounds in 4 and 3 it was fixed for me in 5 but Vergils summoned swords aren’t as good
@maniac7302 mmm I'll have to give you that, guns do sound much better in DMC5, which puzzles me even more given that they put the effort to do so, but slacked with the rest of the weapons/attacks 🫤

The team who've named the skills of these weapons really had fun with Lucifer.
All just innuendo.
I remember loving both Nero and Dante's playstyle in this game.
So much variety for Dante.
I really do miss Lucifer and Pandora. I hope they return someday. I also kinda miss when Dante's dt form changed with his weapon, not drastically but a small change would be neat.
The devil trigger design was an amazing concept. The dt design being fixed on later games proves that he has gained more control in his demon powers thus doesn't need to borrow the energy from the devil arms.

They don't tend to re use Devils Arms.
Only Ifrit's style from the first game gets carried over, but with a different name and look. Beowulf, Gilgamesh, Balrog

Besides, it's not like Dante drops the devil arms down the toilet between games.
When I played dmc 4 I got the yamato I was never able to use the dark slayer fighting style with Dante
You only needed to press the same button of the style you already had on, for example if you had trickster, you needed to press the trickster button again to use darkslayer

Dmc4 effects and graphics looks amazing and cool abilities are epic and this version fits rebellion more than dmc5
Strange comment since the gameplay in this video has all the shadows and ambient occlusion disabled, for some reason. The game looks way better than this.
Gilgamesh is just red Queen if it was punches and kicks instead of a sword, I mean, vroom vroom with kicks and punches
Actually it operates pretty much like Beowulf from DMC 3, including the charged attacks 🤣 it does look similar to the Red Queen in looks though

A good overview, some things are missing (like improved DT Dash and Sky Star, how Lucifer Combo B/C chain with itself and each other), but those on the edge of what can be considered overview/in-depth video

given context clues, I think they mean that you can do Lucifer's combo B at first, then do Lucifer's combo c next after it
I think it was Pat who said like Dante is actually good at fighting its that he has such grace and strength he just copies stuff he sees and it just works
I kinda prefer the taunt dialogue here in 4 than 5.

He can literally master anything he touches the moment of touch

@onenormalguythatbreathes7603 this is only partly true. It wouldn't apply to the Yamato because it was made specifically FOR Vergil. Just like Rebellion was made for Dante. Neither person would be able to use the other's weapon to the same effect that the original owner can. It's made into the makeup of the swords.....

How did dante get this new taunts like shall we dance etc? As far as I know, you can't execute them in gameplay.
Taunts changes when ur stylish rank changes, the shall we dances or more are at Smokin(S) Smokin Style(SS) Smokin Sick Style(SSS). It's just like Dmc 5 taunting and stylish system bruv, only thing is that u gotta taunt again and again to get that kind of taunt which is kinda annoying that u'll have to keep ur stylish rank up to S or more
Some of those taunts can't be done by the player. It's only Boss Dante when you fight him.

The music is "Lock and Load" from DMC1.

I know this isn’t DMC 5, but there is a way to give Dante the Darkslayer in that game. Still not much, compared to Vergil, but more than the DMC 4 style of the same name. I think it’s a mod, but idk for sure.

How do you use the Yamato in the forest level?
Save in mission 18 and then you'll have it in every Dante mission

@@marcelschafer9540 I think you can just save and quit as soon as the mission starts, but if not then you have to beat the mission first

@@marcelschafer9540 after you finish the first difficulty (probably Normal/Devil Hunter). When you're on Son of Sparda/Hard, you will have all weapons from previous playthrough.

You missed the “just charged” mechanic of Gilgamesh.
its insane that no one talking about that mechanic, I cannot find a single video showcasing it. I mastered it long ago, but I want other players to know about its existence too
@@remiland1645 "just charged"? Isn't it called "distortion" since DMC 1?
@@Bruh-bk6yo its two different things. Just charge/just release/just timing(saw it once) are the different names of the same mechanic in dmc 1, 4 and 5 (I don't think you can do it in dmc3) when you release gauntlets attack button perfectly in time so your charged hit deals much more damage. And Distortion means using perfect timed DT so your DT frames stacked on top of attack connection frames, and somehow it creates additional hit with good damage. You can mix Just release of Gilgamesh/Beowulf and Distortion for max damage, but they are not the same thing, and you can make distorted version of any attack in dmc 4, not just for Gilgamesh.
As far as I know Distortion is a glitch, it was removed from dmc 5, and its usage feels like game breaking in 4. On the other hand, Just release of Gilgamesh or Beowulf is intended and has its own visual and sound effects since dmc4, but devs could demonstrate the mechanic more clearly then they did, its the most important mechanic of the charging gauntlets in my opinion, and its my favourite in the entire series, but even dmc youtubers don't talk about it for some reason
@@remiland1645 no... Release gauntlets attack button perfectly in time IS the distortion. That was even mentioned in DMC 1 guide included with the disk. DT doubles the effect since during its activation, the character's model doubles for several frames.
@@Bruh-bk6yo Bro you are wrong. I checked the only free dmc guide on internet by versus books and didn't find anything about it, maybe its in a different guide. But even if it is, its not appropriate to call gauntlet's just charged hit a distortion nowadays, since everyone on the internet associates distorted moves with timed DT activation, you can look up for "distortion in dmc 1" here on YT and I bet you won't find a single video explaining it as a "just charged" mechanic, instead everyone separates these two mechanics and explains Distortion exactly as a timed DT move that depends on a Nightmare being equipped.

If I'm not mistaken, the input for Kick13 is "R1 + Backward + Triangle" .
In mission just use ur start button then go to skills then see the inputs

Gilgamesh fits Dante better than Beowulf and balrog with rocket boost charge and the epic Kung funlikr kicks and spins
I like Balrog more because of the boxing, taekwondo, capoeira.

So what does dreadnaught actually do?
It gives you "Super Armor", you take no damage, cannot be staggered or being knocked back. In exchange for slow movement speed, short duration time (depends on your Rage gauge), long animation time to transform and you still lose Style meter if you take damage.
