Glad he made this video. As an American, I’ve made 4 trips to Europe. The amount of ignorance I heard about the US was astounding. Almost every criticism I heard was based on their own false idea. As a whole, I experienced more rudeness and ignorance in Europe than I ever have in America. Frankly, it just comes off as jealousy.
Many of Europes countries are dying a slow death. Look at Italy, they give away homes for $1 to entice foreigners, they are so used to having a job given to them by nepotism, corruption in workplace it is a normal work behavior so they are not productive. Even their food is nothing without the New World tomato. Imagine Italy making pizza without tomato’s. We have beautiful National Parks, Europe has old historic buildings and history but like all civilizations of the past they all die and crumble. What these countries need to do is stop nepotism, establish a better work mindset and raise children not be stinkers that way they too can be productive. Plus face the fact that they will be overtaken by people from MidEast.
Oh boy howdy wait til you find out there’s European groups on Fakebook that just bash Americans every single day. It’s supposed to be “fun” and “jokey” and I joined in to get in on the jokes but it’s like 99% hating on America out of ignorance and us not adopting the metric system. It’s a sad and pathetic group.
I have watched videos of Europeans saying many Americans don't have passports and don't travel abroad. Gee, I wonder why. Then when they visit the US the comments are how warm and welcoming Americans are. Maybe Americans should start treating Europeans like shit and see how they like it. But that's not the American way.
When I was in high school (over 40 years ago), my US History teacher was an expat Brit. As you can imagine, studying the Revolution was, ahem, interesting. With humor and honesty, she gave us both sides of the conflict. "And then you COLONIALISTS had the temerity to rebel against the KING!" Said with a smile. In all of my years in school, she was my favorite teacher.
America spends a lot of money on humanitarian efforts as well. The average American also spends more of thier own money giving to charitys across the entire world than any other people on the planet.
The LDS Church gives millions to the communist led United Nations under the guise of helping the poor, women, and children. People should know after the last century, communists don't help anyone! The good they do is for a malicious intention!
This is true. The American PEOPLE (not government) give more in charity than 50% of countries give in humanitarian aid. Not to mention how much of our tax dollars our government does give away in humanitarian aid.
My family and I went to Europe a few years ago and as an American we were treated very cold in several places, but when we switched over to speaking in Spanish to see if there was a difference in the way people treated us, we were treated normal. I don’t get it. Pure ignorance I think. Just treat people kindly and forget where they come from. We are ALL People in the end.
I think a big part of it is how rude Americans are when they go to other countries a lot of the time. Also, it doesn't help that our government meddles in everyone's business and cause problems for everybody else. I agree some of it is just ignorance and rudeness or jealousy on their part, but the US government has done a lot of damage to a lot of countries and they still hold a grudge because they're still suffering from it.
@@alb91878Like the video said, “no”country is innocent they all have their dirt. We are just saying as an American don’t spit in our face and when trouble comes your way in your country you want us (USA) to come help you out of “Your”troubles. There’s rudeness all over the world. Europeans always say we are rude when we come over to their countries, “no”we are just free and freedom comes with confidence, assertiveness and assurance we are bold people, that’s not a negative thing it’s a positive. ✌🏽👋🏽🇺🇸
what a american propaganda answer ... but you are all welcome in europe ! 1 out of 1000 can have a bad experience ( like yourself) !but if you look how many europeans just move to the usa ( not for love or work ) and be happy comparised to americans moving to europe (not for love or work ) and be happy ! numbers do not lie ! ppl do . and a citizen of the divided states of america saying "just be nice to ppl " is just a joke ! you got the most police brutality in the world and the most violent crimes and unsafe cities ! i think you should plan your trips better and dont come here to be THE AMERICAN ... not everyone speaks english when you are abroad ! the world is not the usa !
The US has provided the modern world with well… the modern world. The world changed when the US was created. Tech grew insanely fast when our country was claimed.

Word. America has a lot of problems and I am the first to point them out as someone born and raised here. But, most European criticism and opinions mostly seem rooted in Jealousy not actual constructive thoughts.
During your "landscapes" chapter, you challenged that Europe has lovely places, too. I agree. My father was Air Force and I started kindergarten in 1977 in Ramstein, Germany. For four years, our family went native and explored castles, countries, and cuisine throughout Europe. It was extraordinary. I then married an Air Force man and graduated from "brat" to "spouse" (these are U.S. military terms for "kid" and "wife"). I even attempted to join the Air Force, but found out I was going to be a mom, instead. I adore my country. She is lovely, to be sure. Every atom in my body is patriotic. That said... I envy you, your UK life. Ancestry DNA confirmed my ancestors come from Buckfastleigh in Devon. I'd trade places with you in an instant for a three month respite. Think on it. Great video. Cheers.
The food comparison isn’t fair. Yes, we have lots of fast food, but we also have excellent food from all corners of the earth. So we have everything Europe has, plus the rest of the world, and our own stuff, too.
I agree, I actually think the better argument is our variety. Since we have so many different cultures here, there's food from damn near everywhere being made by people from thos countries.
When i speak to people about food many say all you eat I'd McDonald's! NO! I can cook. What do you make? Big pot of tomato sauce and meatballs with macaroni, lasagne, roast beef, pot roast, fajitas, tacos, roast chicken, chicken cutlets grilled chicken, kielbasa and sauerkraut...no no no American food! This is American food! We just don't eat burgers and hot dogs.
@PennelopeWhitmore they just call it brown gravy, no one can tell me the flavor nor do they make it. The discussions I've had over lemonade and how to make it and that it definitely doesn't have bubbles. Yes it does! Sorry that's lemon soda or Sprite.

I'd hate for you to come all this way and not get to see the beautiful western landscapes you've been dying for!
Yeap 3,500 people in England was arrested for offensive speech. One posting a dead friends favorite song and it is a rap song with the N word. She was found guilty and had months of community service with a year of strict curfew 8 to 8.
Damn right. I saw a video of a british rapper and some others being shocked and disgusted that a British citizen could order a knife on Amazon and just have it delivered to their house. Bitches that want the government to protect them. I've carried a pistol on me for 20 years and haven't left the house without a knife since I was like 7. That will never change.
The Bill of Rights. Our Constitution makes clear these are our inherent rights, not given to us. Citizens of other countries rely on their government to give them rights.
As an American, I'm Proud to pay my taxes. However, I pay taxes for the general welfare of America and The American People. Not to fund other stuff in other countries or luxuries for illegal immigrants. In the past, I didn't even mind that politicians and bureaucrats took a little off the bottom After the money went towards things like Our roads, infrastructure, vets, programs for those in need, education, etc. But, now the bastards are helping themselves to the cream off the Top and being So Greedy about it, everything above (except for helping other countries) is suffering. Badly. Nothing is getting done and even if an attempt is made, it's a crappy attempt. And I'm sick of it. So, that's what will drive My Votes Locally, within my State (CA), and For This Country. If you're going to Disney World, I would suggest going in the months October through April. Florida is humid and in the hot months, it's not comfortable if you're not accustomed to it.
You're never accustomed to it. I avoided Disney but went to Seaworld during the early pandemic in July, not my idea. It was free, I went. Had to wear a mask in the July heat, and I'm a native, I almost passed out. I was drenched in sweat, it was empty nice and rode a lot of rollercoasters over and over again (for the breeze), lol.
I had a British friend who was scheduled to come to Florida, to Disney, in late May. As someone who's loved in South Florida for 20+ years. I warned her against it. She ended up having heat stroke. The heat and humidity combined is BRUTAL. BUT, if you ever want to come down, there is a guest bedroom ready for you here in Boca Raton FL. ❤❤❤❤
Oh no, your poor friend! I hope she listens to your advice next time and returns during the nice time of year. I do Nov veterans weekend Jan or Feb. My family minus me, are going to Animal Kingdom resort, no parks, Disney Springs maybe. Not sure of their plans, in Feb. I previously committed to something without checking calendar. I keep my word, so I will be home with my neighbors large dog.@@elizabethannedavis5176
Have you seen Alaska? It's Norway's big brother. There is so much to love here and we want others to at least appreciate we do have some cool things. If they don't, well, I feel sorry for them.
The variety of landscapes in America is what makes us #1. Some of the best beaches in the world in Hawaii as well as Florida, beautiful mountains, deserts, pine forrest's you name it we have it.
When my mom was in Australia, the folks there actually believed that when we put the men on the moon we changed their weather for the bad. That's hysterical.
My 2023 tax info in Ohio, USA. Family of 4 (kids are over 18), household income of $52,000 ... our effective federal tax rate was 2.8%, our state tax rate was 1.4% and our sales tax was 5.8% (excludes food & utilities and mortgage) Finally there is property taxes ... ours is roughly the same as the federal taxes at 3% (this varies by the value of the home, not on income ... so this is our personal rate) I estimate that the overall taxes we paid in 2023 was about 10%. We live a fairly typical middle class life ... ok, call it lower middle class ... but still middle class.
If it makes you feel any better, only in America or an equally affluent nation would you be considered lower middle class. Median family income in the world is $9,500. Being over $40,000/year puts you in the top 1%. Meaning in world terms you’re wealthy. So don’t put yourself down😊.
As a Floridian who lives an hour outside of Disney World, here are some tips. 1. DO NOT COME IN THE SUMMER! It is HOT, and I mean HOT! You will turn into a lobster within minutes. 2. If they still let this, bring your own water bottle full of water, and refill your bottle at the park water fountains. It's expensive to buy stuff at the parks. 3. Don't pick a Disney resort hotel to stay at. Stay off property if you can. It's tons cheaper. Some of the value hotels can be a minimum of $200US a night on Disney property during peak seasons. 4. January-February is usually the best time to go. Not too hot, not too cold, and it's off peak season. March it will start peak seasons again because of spring breakers and then kids being off for the summer for school. 5. If you stay off property and are worried about transportation, Kissimmee-Orlando have Disney busses that will take you to your destination and back to the bus stop. You won't have to worry about parking either. It may take awhile to get there (mass transit in the US is terrible at best), but you won't have to worry about transportation to and from the parks or the exorbitant parking prices. 6. If you go to Epcot (Start with the world showcase and then swing back around to the technology side - the lines in the past have been shorter that way).
Great advice! Also, Lewis, you should know that it will often rain mid-day in Florida. Use that time to grab lunch and rest your legs, and then get back out to explore the park.
1. In Nashville, Tennessee, I've been paying around $3.25 - $3.45 a gallon. I don't ever remember paying over $4.00 a gallon & I'm 73 yrs. old. 2. The Beatles made a HUGE contribution to music. But, yes, they were building on American Rock n' Roll. One of the things they did that I love is, they were the 1st to print out the words to their songs & include them in their albums. Before then, you had to buy the sheet music if you wanted the words to ANY song. 3. Beautiful places in Europe? Lewis, you really need to explore the UK. Oh my goodness! The Scottish Highlands! Beautiful! England has some really beautiful, historical places in truly beautiful settings. Stonehenge, in the Salisbury Plains, comes to mind. So haunting. 4. This is not something that was addressed, but, England gave us Shakespeare! England gave us J.K.Rowling! I mean, "Harry Potter" was a world wide phenomenon! WORLD WIDE!! Hope you take another look around the UK. It's a beautiful place.
Regarding the comment about starting wars. I would like to know what war or wars did we start. Did we start WW1, WW2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, or the Gulf War? Regarding WW1 and WW2 the US came to help. Regarding the latter wars why did the rest of the world jump in to stop communism or dictatorships. There's a saying we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. If the US gets involved in international affairs people say we are sticking our nose in. But if we don't get involved people want to know why isn't the US helping. For example, Russia invading Ukraine. Everyone loves the US involvement.
i mean even some wars we basically were attacked and then we fought back as well. people are so ignorant when it comes to that. yes we fucked up. im not sure which war we truly started tho
In terms of wars with a foreign power, we started the American Revolution, War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Spanish-American War, and Afghanistan/Iraq War. A case could be made for the Korean War since we posed it to the UN, though I feel USSR breaking the terms of the split along the peninsula by arming North Korea is to blame, plus South Korea was attached first (Vietnam is an extension of the French Indochina War from the perspective of the Vietnamese). Given we've been the pre-eminent power for 75 years, that's pretty low, especially since only two of those wars started occurred during that period. I don't know if it's because the US is a democracy or because the MAD became a thing shortly after we reached that status (probably a bit of both).
@@calvinmorris5975 no where near enough and not yet. I'm hoping to spend a few weeks up there later this year. I know it's absolutely gorgeous country up there, but either way, Switzerland absolutely had many jaw dropping moments that were just incredible
Just thought I would point out something regarding the country. That is the most beautiful in the world. America has 63 national parks.!!!!!!! We also have 6,392 state parks.!!!!! America has thousands upon thousands upon thousands of city municipal parks. So using your example, Norway is a beautiful country. There's no arguing in that and what they do. Have might be the most beautiful in the world. But a very big question mark comes into mind. Because you're talking about a beautiful country. Well, I just stated how many parks we have and you have seen most of them on videos. But tell me this, We have magnificent coastlines. We have Alaska which probably comes up to being equal with Norway with the beautiful mountains and glaciers. And we also have real deserts. We also have realeverglades and swamp plants. We have real rainforests. We have real mountains and we have real valleys we have. Thousands of feet and miles of rivers. We have more lakes than any other country. We have 4 different kinds of weather patterned areas, whereas most countries have one. We have canyons, we have grasslands. We have farm lands and we have woodlands. We have some of every kind of geographical feature in America where there's many other even beautiful countries are usually beautiful because of the one type of beauty rather than America which has some of everything, you can find in the entire rest of the world.
In taxes, we generally pay about 33% income tax. The poor usually get many tax breaks and government aid to help them out. Then there's about 6-7% tax on goods except for food items, that's generally not taxed. We do not pay taxes on TV and radio, nor do we have VAT taxes. Our healthcare may seem expensive here, but that's because universal, (or what Europeans call FREE) healthcare is hidden in your exorbitant VAT, petrol and other taxes. Healthcare is not really free ANYWHERE. Hope that helps.
Yes, they do still pay for healthcare from their taxes but America's healthcare is the most expensive healthcare system in the world, spending an average of 40% more per patient care than any other country on earth. Their system is much more efficient than ours is. I imagine that comes from too many middle men sticking their fingers in the honey pot.
I never got why they call it "free", s**t ain't free and from what I've seen, it's nearly impossible to get into a specialist in those countries while here in the U.S., I saw a doctor one day, got a referral to a specialist with an appointment for the very next day.
@@MusicalSaraJoThey aren't supposed to have. Unless it's prepared food. Like go to the grocery store and buy some hamburger. It shouldn't be taxed. Go to a restaurant and it is taxed. In a grocery store, some items are and some aren't. As far as the state is concerned anyway There may still be local sales/use tax.
Older American here. FYI: I live in southern New Mexico & gas, as of this morning 1/2024, it is as low as $2.70 per gallon at some places around here. I believe our tax brackets are 0%, 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% & 37%, according to Google.
1/29/24 Northern California cheapest gas in town $4.45. During summer we see it go high as $5.50 or more. Our state is tax crazy so take that into account
In America, Federal tax for a single person in 2023 was 10% for up to $10,275, 12% for up to $44725, 22% for up to $85375 and 24% for up to $182,100. The highest bracket is 37%, which you don't hit until you make over $693000. Keep in mind that you get a deduction on your salary, so in reality, the first 14 grand or so is tax free. Any money you put into 401F isn't taxed either, until you take it out. In my state, Washington, there is no state income tax, the sales tax is around 8.5%. I'm paying $400 a month property taxes on a $500,000 house.
I've been over to England and Ireland. I only really got to see London, so I can't say much about the scenery in the country. Ireland, however, I had a chance to travel around and it is an absolutely gorgeous island. There's definitely some other stuff in Europe I'd like to see, but America sure does have a variety of some great scenery.
My son stayed in Scotland a month and loved it so much he canceled Northern Ireland and stayed another month in Scotland..I do wish he would have also fit Ireland in especially northern as I think he would have enjoyed it a lot.

Actually the US hasn't actually started any wars. We just respond to wars. Most of the wars have been started by Europe. Even Vietnam was started by China, they fought the French in North Vietnam for 14 years before the US got involved. The French left and South Vietnam asked for our help. We were a presence there in the late 50s till it escalated in 64.
Some of the things I can agree with some not. But the one thing that all Americans can agree on that are not stuck in one spot. We like our wide open spaces. This is the one thing that many countries have over Europe and Japan. SPACE!

Disneyworld in florida will surprise you and just to let you know that if you get injured in the park , they will take you down into the tunnels and give you a free ride to the local hospital. How do I know this? Because my cousin broke his arm? While he was waiting for a ride. Leaning on a divide And they came out of the woodwork , we ended up getting escorted to thescorted to this tunnel , which was a door in the wall that looked like a rock. Then we went down and there was a golf cart waiting for us two of them. We all hopped in. We drove down through the tunnels and when we popped up. We were in the middle of the hospital. Then after he got his cast in everything. They drove us back right to our rooms.

Re: Disney Yes, World is better than Land. Disney World is huge and includes Epcot, MGM Studios ow whatever they're calling it now, and Animal Kingdom. For transportation purposes, if you're going to really go in on this, I'd recommend staying somewhere like the Polynesian resort so that you can ride the monorails around where you want to go. I think there's some big rooms available there or at Animal Kingdom. Super expensive to stay at the parks, but worth it to not have the hassle. People are probably going to tell you the best rides to go on like Space Mountain (definitely do it if you like rollarcoasters). But given how interested you are in Americana, I'm going to recommend you take a spin or two on the Carousel of Progress. when you need to chill out and sit down. Carousel of Progress is not a very exciting ride. It is one of the most original rides of the park, having come from one of the last World's Fairs in the 1960s so that you'll get to see some of an original Walt Disney script and how he felt about the world. And much of what it is is being hyped about being an American and the possibilities for the future. If you want a short American history lesson that will give you some ideas of why Americans are they way they are, check out the Carousel of Progress.

It's really sad that so many Europeans have such a negative opinion of America and Americans. The majority of places aren't any more dangerous here than in Europe. And most Americans are genuinely nice, friendly people... Epecially those who are 30+. Europeans simply don't know what they're missing by passing judgement without any kind of personal experience or taking a little time to research for themselves... Especially with Google at their fingertips . Their opinions primarily originate with the media in Europe, who tend to focus on and sensationalize negative stories. In a country the size of all of Europe, with nearly 400 million people... the overall numbers make it appear as though a lot more bad goes on here, be it crime, poverty etc. But to fairly compare with countries that are about the size and population of just 1 American state, you have to look at the per capita numbers, not the overall total.
Gas has been under $4.00 here in southern Ohio for a long time. That is still really high compared to past years. In 1965, I bought a used 1960 Chevy Corvair to drive myself to college after my family moved out of the city where there was no bus service. Gas was 29 cents per gallon and that was high then, lol.

My gosh! 20% on 12k?!? I guess I didn’t realize how high your taxes were! I will say the amount of taxes we pay is often complained about when it comes to what that money is “supposed” to be going to. Like in MA they legalized marijuana and where I live there’s a weed shop in every freaking town. We’re VERY close to NY state boarder and it’s not legal to buy there for recreational use as it is here. So when they legalized it they said a good portion of the taxes collected from marijuana sales would go to maintaining roads since so many more people are now traveling them to get their weed. Well guess what? Are roads are still garbage, arguably worse sooooo..yea we may not pay the most BUT shit isn’t going where it’s supposed to. For MA we’re also taxed and retaxed every time we turn around. We pay federal income taxes, state income taxes, sales tax on anything not food clothing or shelter (rent), property tax, excise tax - another thing that’s supposed to help roads but doesn’t - & I’m sure there is plenty im forgetting. But i wouldn’t be so irritated paying it if they actually put it where they say it’s going.
No tax at all on the first £12,500. Then 20% on any amount over that till you hit the next threshold at £50,000. At that point you will pay 40% on any amount over that. And bear in mind that if we move to another country we no longer pay UK tax. Most of us don't need to fill in a tax return either unless we're self employed. And of course our taxes cover free medical care.

Taxes are pretty complicated, because it's not just the federal income tax. There's also local and state income tax, sales tax, property tax, etc. In the UK you pay a 20% VAT on almost everything you purchase, and pretty insane petrol taxes.
I live in New Orleans and we have gasoline refineries outside the city from oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. So gas here doesn't really have to travel far and is very cheap. Gas is about $2.90 a gallon at the expensive places here right now. Super cheap.
Lewis, you might wanna go to Universal, they'll have a new park opening next year (i believe) in the summer. It has Super Mario and Donkey Kong (all one area), Classic Monsters, How to Train Your Dragon, and Harry Potter. Plus, Disney has been price gauging these past years. So do some research on how much you might be spending when going to either park
I have gone min 30+ over the yrs. I am lucky enough that I drag my DVC member sibling along so we stay always stay in a Disney Hotel and we go to the grocery store in Orlando for food and make our own in our room. Never buy excess stuff in the Park, souvenirs are cheaper in the grocery stores or drug stores in Orlando. They are WELL stocked. I bring water bottles in my backpack and candy in my bag and food. I only go during when running FL Special offer tickets rates, otherwise I am not paying full price and not hopping around either. One park a day, getting my $ worth. Never go during the summer! It is HOT and HUMID and is the RAINY SEASON so it will rain. best time? Oct thru April.
In Pennsylvania we have a sales tax of 6 or 7% depends which county you are in, but excluded from the sales tax are shoe, clothes, food from grocery stores(fast food or restaurant food are taxed). We have property tax based on assessed value of the property (no property or school tax if renting, the landlord pays it, tho part of your rent might go towards the taxes), School tax, state tax (based on income),then federal tax also based on income…School tax and property tax are usually our highest tax.

As a resident on Guam, Alaska is NOT the only territory that was invaded. There was Guam, that heavy fighting was fought twice. The invasion and liberation of the island, AND we are still a territory of the USA.
True but not a state. I think it means more that the fifty states has never seen world wars. All the territories sort of come from wars. Mariana Islands, Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico. I think it just meant fifty states. Plus it said world wars. Not war in general. Did Guam see world war action? I genuinely don't know.
@@knightmarefishing yes. Guam was involved in WW2. Guam was attacked Dec. 8, 1942, hours after the attacked on Pearl Harbor. Also Alaska AND Hawaii were territories at the start and end of WW2. They became states after WW2. Guam was a territory of the US since the Spanish-American war.

Very true!💯
Oh boy howdy wait til you find out there’s European groups on Fakebook that just bash Americans every single day. It’s supposed to be “fun” and “jokey” and I joined in to get in on the jokes but it’s like 99% hating on America out of ignorance and us not adopting the metric system. It’s a sad and pathetic group.
Yepppers!!
I have watched videos of Europeans saying many Americans don't have passports
and don't travel abroad. Gee, I wonder why. Then when they visit the US the comments are how warm and welcoming Americans are. Maybe Americans should start treating Europeans like shit and see how they like it. But that's not the American way.
Lewis, you're an honorary American. We'd be glad to have you over here. 🇺🇲❤️💙🇺🇸

I absolutely busted out laughing when he said "Yo adopt me, I don't want to fight for this country bro" LMFAO Lewis you're a nut 🤣🤣🤣
The thing is if a world war does start Americans will also startbup the draft again.
When I was in high school (over 40 years ago), my US History teacher was an expat Brit. As you can imagine, studying the Revolution was, ahem, interesting. With humor and honesty, she gave us both sides of the conflict. "And then you COLONIALISTS had the temerity to rebel against the KING!"
Said with a smile.
But we're just "fake nice". 🙄

Yes I agree, very dumb!

I've always heard that it's the English that dropped the ball on food. It seems like it's all meat and potatoes with gravy.

Bitches that want the government to protect them. I've carried a pistol on me for 20 years and haven't left the house without a knife since I was like 7. That will never change.
Inalienable rights - are not as prevalent these days as some people think. Some in our government now feels then can change anything at will.
The Bill of Rights. Our Constitution makes clear these are our inherent rights, not given to us. Citizens of other countries rely on their government to give them rights.
We Americans don't like taxes. That tradition started with the Boston Tea Party, I expect.
No Taxation without representation. That was the argument.
I actually don't mind paying my taxes. I feel I honor my fellow citizens by doing my part. ❤

You left off city tax. I used to live in oh. Had to pay the city I lived in as well as the city I worked in.
Not all citys in ohio have municipal taxes
Fairly similar in Alabama, except I don't have a house (not sure if we have property tax or not), and sales tax is 9%.

The only war I can think of that we started was the CIVAL WAR which was between ourselves. So I don't think that counts.
it should we did START and END it to ourselves.@@john-dm1rx

Any Desert is stunning for me. My favorite landscapes on Earth.

Even Vietnam was started by China, they fought the French in North Vietnam for 14 years before the US got involved. The French left and South Vietnam asked for our help. We were a presence there in the late 50s till it escalated in 64.
The USA is "invited" to fight in the wars of other countries. Churchill begged FDR to help in WWII.
Some of the things I can agree with some not. But the one thing that all Americans can agree on that are not stuck in one spot. We like our wide open spaces. This is the one thing that many countries have over Europe and Japan. SPACE!

Gas prices in Arkansas is approximately $2.80/gal!
I paid 2.59 in Texas this morning.
Thanks ♥️ Much Love! #Michigan

All the countries in Europe are different. All the states in the US are too! Florida and Washington and California all have very different cultures. Even the major cities are different.
Where I live in Nebraska the gas price is currently around $2.55 to $2.85
Gas prices vary widely from one part of the country to another. I just paid $2.65/gal in Arkansas yesterday.
I filled up yesterday and it was 3.49 a gallon. I’m about 45 miles from Texarkana on the Texas side. I’ve always wondered what makes the prices higher in one location and not to far away will be more expensive. I’ve heard several theories that didn’t make a lot of sense to me but there’s lots of things over my head. My believing politics.
$3.29 in Hillsboro, OR.

Maybe it will drop even lower soon in the beautiful state of Oregon.
@@kennethvaughan8195 Maybe. As for beauty, when we lived in western Louisiana we sailed a.lot on Valentine Lake. There's a lot of beauty in Texas as well! It's just those sweltering summers when the weather forecaster proclaims a "cooling trend" because it got below 100° at 0200. (The last two times I visited Dallas/Ft. Worth) 😁
Add in great food and Southern Hospitality and I'd love to visit Texas again...

Western Louisiana ? You probably know Caddo lake then !
The thing with me: when I joined the military there are all these places I wanted to see in other countries. There are some beauty in other countries but the truth I learned is every state in America has lots of beauty. For me long as it’s not in the city. Don’t fit in there to good.
I'm so glad he mentioned Knott's Berry Farm. I love that place more than Disney, Six Flags, and (what was) Great America combined
Here in Tennessee, gasoline is in the $2.50 to $3.00 a gallon range.
If you shop at ingles, you even get more off. Because of our prescriptions at ingles pharmacy we accumulate enough points to get a $1.00 a gallon off of gas. Effectively paying $1.64

I love going to Europe but I hate the way people often react when they realize or I tell them I'm American. Sorry but I'm not ashamed of being American nor am I going to pretend to be. My grandparents immigrated here from Europe with my father for a reason and I consider myself very lucky to have grown up here!
Yes, and you are still in the resort as well. Those tunnels are at ground level with everything else. The resort is actually ABOVE ground level. Employees park and walk in tunnels at ground level.
One thing Britain has that I have loved since 1982 is Duran Duran! So that is one thing you have gifted the world!

Norways Fjords are breath taking. I think the only thing that could compare here is an Alaskan cruise with the Northern lights. Both everybody should see before they die.
Re: Disney
Yes, World is better than Land.
Animal Kingdom has a very large two story suite, I stayed at with 9 people. Kitchen, dining room, 2 couches tv, 1 bedroom suite downstairs/full bathroom and a 1 separate full bathroom by kitchen. 2nd Floor, loft with tv and pullout couch, and 2 bedroom suites/ full bathrooms. Outside balony 1st floor opened to savannah and lovely giraffe eating by balcony.
We also made Budweiser beer. Pretty sure it's just bud beer over there tho I hear lol great reactions 🤘 ohh an the gas prices thing. It's why we drive so many trucks here in the US gas is abit cheaper lol

Hershey Park is pretty awesome. Haven't been in a million years, but I really want to go back. My buddy saw Blink-182 on their reunion tour there... it was the Biggest show on the tour with about 7.5 Thousand people in the audience. The picture doesn't even make sense when you look at it lol 😅
$3.39 per Gallon of Gas where I Live.
Currently in Texas, gas is less than $3.00 per gallon. It does fluctuate, seemingly without cause.
I had a 1964 Chevy Corvair. Loved that car! It was my first. Yeah, gas was cheap then. 😊

@@missharry5727 people in the America can get free health insurance too if you make under 75k a year you can use the healthcare.gov. it might say it is 400 dollars a month but that is if you make 75k or more a year.
I hear you , it was the casinos that would fix the roads here, never happened.
I have gross taxable income of around £22,500 on which I pay around £2,,000 a year in tax. My tax pays for the armed services, the National Health Service (no separate charges for healthcare and medication), the justice system, and all other national government services.

So some good videos to react to are Aerial America. You get to see what certain states look like from drones flying high above.
40% tax on 40k is NUTS
Taxes are pretty complicated, because it's not just the federal income tax. There's also local and state income tax, sales tax, property tax, etc. In the UK you pay a 20% VAT on almost everything you purchase, and pretty insane petrol taxes.
There's no VAT on food. At least when you pick something up in the supermarket you can see from the price tag exactly how much you pay.

I heard there will be a universal in uk that would be awesome
Yeah I wouldn't go to Disney, Bush gardens or Universal are better
