Yeah younger Fallon is completely different to older Fallon, the only common thread is the impersonations, apart from that they're like two seperate people. I think Conan's show was aimed at the same demographic, but when you go back and watch it now, it's intelligent, and still funny today. If you go back and watch fallon's stuff in 10 to 15 years, it will be outdated and even dumber than it is now. No one can top Conan!

Conan is the GOAT and this is a full circle moment but let's take a moment to give Jimmy some credit for how talented he is. Having moved on to doing the hosting gig, he doesn't "perform" as much as he used to, so naturally his role has changed dramatically, but he's SO talented.

I don't think they're mansions, maybe a large house, but mansion doesn't strike me as conan's thing. I do remember from his covid segment about washing your hands properly, conan had a nice, average suburban looking kitchen, decent sized with the island in the middle where the sink was located.
He was one of the first people if not THE first to do an Adam Sandler impression. He really modernized impression comedy because it has been gone for a long time. Will Ferrell was doing purposely inaccurate ones, it was getting all post-modern. But Falllon had this quirky library of people who weren't considered "famous enough" to even need to be impersonated, which is part of what made it funny. Him doing Chris Rock pretty much blew my mind. This was before Hader, before a lot of people. He updated an old fashioned, kind of elitist genre and made it relevant to millennials.

I'm a big fan of how Jimmy does his show. It's not a must watch for me but when I do watch a Fallon sketch I usually laugh my ass off. He's a very creative dude and his impressions are always spot on.
I liked Jimmy better when he did Late Night. It was kinda ridiculous, weird, hokey, but that’s why I liked it. I watched it pretty faithfully, much more than The Tonight Show. It took what charm he had away from him.
