My Best Shots or How I Have Seen the World Over The Years

- A selection of some of my best still images, mostly digital but some scanned from 35mm film.
There is one, for which I have omitted a title. It is of the formation in the Blue Mountains of N.S.W., known as The Three Sisters. Sorry about that.
Also, here is the way I took the photo of the Tawny Frogmouth that has a cicada in its beak:
Firstly, I was using a Pentax MZ-7 35mm SLR camera, probably loaded with slide film, not sure about that exactly.
At that time, I was using (I think) a 300mm f4 lens with a 1.4x tele-converter (not the greatest combo!), along with a flash unit that was compatible with the Pentax but a fairly basic one.
As there was no way for the camera and flash to focus automatically, I had to hold a torch - between my knees! - which was aimed at the bird (obviously) and, fortunately, the bird stayed in that spot long enough for me to focus manually.
I think it turned our pretty well, really.
Oh my! You held a torch between your knees in order to get the shot? What a challenge! Glad you were successful! Your stills are great and give us in the U.S. a better view of Australia! Thank you, Brian!
Beautiful photography
@Wendy O'Grady Thank you.
Lovely work! I loved the honeybee on the flower photo. Good music too
Thank you!
A-MAZING photos, Brian!!! Can you please tell me what camera/s you use? And what is that song in the background? It is beautiful.
@KieLeaHar Sorry, I must have missed your comment somehow........first, the music is mentioned in the description below the video; it is an excerpt from Finlandia by Jean Sibelius. Re the camera, I have used many different ones over the years, so I can't be absolutely sure what one I used for the older shots taken on film. However, most of the digital shots were taken with a Canon 7D SLR and various lenses.
