I think A810 rear camera image quality has improved a lot through software updates since your review footage was shot. Now it looks much less washed out

But 70MAI captures 4K front whereas Viofo captures 2K front only (though yes rear of Viofo is better on other hand front of 70MAI is better?) . Shouldn't 70MAI be preferred in this case? Only 1 memory card is needed for dual channel dashcam. Also, the choice between A229 Plus and A810 is purely subjective. Which means what works for me may not work for others. Just like you mentioned that A810 is 4K front, if that's your top priority, then yes A810 is a better choice, anyday anytime. If overall value for money is considered, A229 Plus may seem better. As I said, the choice varies from person to person. There is no 'better' dashcam, there is only 'what you give priority to' within these two.

I had the 70Mai A800, during the day it was fabulous but at night you couldn't even distinguish the cars, let alone the license plates. I returned it with difficulty (they didn't want to accept the return, they said it wasn't true that the quality was terrible at night) but now I don't trust it anymore: I don't have the courage to take the 810 and I'm without dahscam
Well you have the other options as I have shown in this video. They all perform exceptionally well in night conditions. You can go with them with your eyes closed.

All 3 cameras you mentioned have the same Sony Starvis IMX335 sensor. So in terms of video quality, there won't be drastic difference between them. On paper, yes having a capacitor is better than in built battery, especially in regards to high heat. Also, dashcams with battery have been selling equally as those with capacitors but never heard or seen any incidents of dashcams blowing up or burning out. It basically comes down to your preference. I haven't tried Qubo personally, hence can't give an honest opinion. Between Prime and A500s, I would go with A500s.

Redtiger F17 has the Sony IMX335 sensor which had a maximum native resolution of 1944p. So the 4K resolution (2160p) provided by the camera is an upscaled 4K and not native 4K. But at the price of about 19K, you get 3 cameras in one shot which seems like a value for money package. So if you are someone who is buying dashcam just to monitor your car and get a decent clarity, F17 is perfect for you. But if you are someone who prefers the highest possible quality and clarity of video, the A810 is the one you should go with.

Yes, the 70mai M200 is yet to be released officially. It costs around ₹5000. It has Starvis 2 sensor. You can purchase 2 cameras and use one for front and one for rear.

Currently I haven't come come across any 'external' camera which has Starvis sensor. Only regular cameras such as 70mai S500 and DDPAI Mola E3, which have some level of waterproofing. There are 'internal' rear cameras which have Starvis 2 sensor such as VIOFO A229 Plus and Pro models.

Can you recommend a camera with good IP rating, must read number plate, must not produce headlight glares or sunlight glares and must have good night vision. Most dashcam have good front camera but rear camera is lagging.
@@traveltechyoutube That look's great. But I had used a lcd mirror before by Akeeyo. From experience I can say that LCD mirror are dangerous as you cannot judge the distance between your car and the one on ur back. The problem becomes aggregated in night due to headlight glares on rear camera. Their is nothing that can replace a rear mirror. So I can't for with mai500.
You can always turn off the display via voice command or button press and get a regular mirror for your needs. Turning on the display back again also is matter of a second with either voice commands or button press. It also has a screensaver feature where the display turns off but only display's the time and recording status. Best of both worlds.

Sure you can. You will need to measure the distance from rear windshield to the power port as the camera USB wire is generally 3.5m in length.

As far as I know, IROAD uses older Starvis sensors and not the latest 'Starvis 2' sensors by Sony.

There is no battery pack specific for VIOFO. You have to install the hardwiring kit to activate parking mode.

Currently I haven't come come across any 'external' camera which has Starvis sensor. Only regular cameras such as 70mai S500 and DDPAI Mola E3, which have some level of waterproofing. There are 'internal' rear cameras which have Starvis 2 sensor such as VIOFO A229 Plus and Pro models.

I have ecosport. The rear door opens in sideways. Hence, external camera is needed. Can you recommend a camera with good IP rating, must read number plate, must not produce headlight glares or sunlight glares and must have good night vision. Most dashcam have good front camera but rear camera is lagging.

That look's great. But I had used a lcd mirror before by Akeeyo. From experience I can say that LCD mirror are dangerous as you cannot judge the distance between your car and the one on ur back. The problem becomes aggregated in night due to headlight glares on rear camera. Their is nothing that can replace a rear mirror. So I can't for with mai500.
You can always turn off the display via voice command or button press and get a regular mirror for your needs. Turning on the display back again also is matter of a second with either voice commands or button press.
It also has a screensaver feature where the display turns off but only display's the time and recording status. Best of both worlds.
