I have one in my boat. Thank goodness I have never needed it but like having a jump box in the boat, it is nice to have when you need it. Have fun in China. Post some pics.
I was with a buddy at chautauqua and we found a rock pile with his prop. Luckily we were only a couple hundred yard from the dock. It didn't lose a blade but got chewed up really bad. So I agree with you on this one. Can't say I've heard of one that just imploded. But all of are local lakes are 20 hp and less than 4,000 acres.
I understand that if hit something hard with a Stainless steel Prop, you can damage the lower unit. If you hit it with an aluminum Prop, you only damage the Prop. So I removed my SS Prop and put on the aluminum.

I had my cranking motor die on me once and just hooked the deep cycle up to get in. Those jumpers sure come in handy.
I agree with that as well!
For sure Matt, i have one for my big motor and my trolling motor. I have a spare winch strap also. Thanks for sharing.

If you’re not worried about performance that’s a great idea!
I have no boat but soon I will be getting a kayak cardiac
Nice!
