I agree, fishing is so simple and if you keep it that way is one of the most rewarding outdoor activities you can do, few things surpass an accomplished angler spending a day trying out new lures and reeling in fish in the process.
Over a period of time, I have tried other bait companies using Ned and Senko worms and I'm finding myself always returning back to Yamamoto baits. They just work.
Until you find a bait maker who does this full time and sits in the lab all day testing fall rates, plastisol consistency's and cure times. Oh wait that's me.
Yamoto baits have saved the day more than once for many a person, have never tried or seen the 2” ones, but would think they’d be great on Ned rig here, but in small lake can see them being awesome weightless, thanks for video
2inch Senko.... wow. Would love to get hold of some of those. I normally use a 3inch Yum dinger here in South Africa and cut it down to about 2 inches. Works really well, especially in winter. Our winters are very mild here in Cape Town and the bass fishing is often excellent in winter.
Thanks! 2-inch Senko is great. Sounds like your cut-down Yum Dingers work well too! Mild winters and great fishing in Cape Town sound amazing! Wish someday I fish there!
Thank you for making and sharing this video. I appreciate the time and effort required to do so. I feel that your point regarding Yamamoto, Keitech, and similar high quality soft plastic lures is important. You generally do get what you pay for. Yes, they can be less durable than some other brands, and of course, as you have previously noted, less durable than hard lures. However, when conditions are challenging, these lures have produced more fish for me than all others.
Thank you Waki I used the same 2" senco and had two bites on Saturday, but I used a smaller hook rigged Texposed so thank you for sharing your rigging. The fish are so slow and lack aggression exposing the hook will probably help.
People complain about the durability of Yamamoto senkos but I don’t care. If I’m catching fish that’s all that matters, I have enough senkos to last me 3 years of fishing everyday 😂. Thank you angler waki for the video hopefully you had an amazing Christmas and your new year is filled with big fish happiness and good health. Arigato gozaimashita
I remember probably 20 years ago first finding the 3s at the store. I don't throw them often but they are one of the best ways to pull something out of the air. I have never tried the twos.. I bet they would be great in some circumstances, or just for ultra finesse fun.
I've fished for all my life and caught big bass on small baits. The biggest bass was caught on a 1/8 ounce rooster tail. I prefer ultra light fishing over regular fishing because you have more of a selection in baits and gear.
Dear Japanese Angler Waki. happy new year. I was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia last year and had been battling the disease for a year. Fortunately, the transplant surgery was successful, and I was able to resume fishing, albeit only once, at the end of last year. I will continue to fight against the disease, but seeing Waki fishing in good health for the first time in a while gave me a lot of strength. Please stay well and have exciting fishing forever! I bet a rebarb or covershot hook would work great! Many people already have some floating around. These little guys would probably be great on a very light drop shot too 18-24 inches off the bottom. Suspend in place for a bit off the bottom, then let it flutter down. If no bites move it 5 feet closer and try again.
Hello! Thank you for watching the video. Hope you enjoy it!

Yup. Yamamoto is the best.

@@freshandsaltyjohnnywhat were your findings I would be very curious 👀
Another reason why i like the 3in senko is the wider array of colors compared to other companies
Yup 👍

Oh Waki, now you are talking my style...small bait...big fish!!!!
I often have big bait, small fish, too. 😅

I agree. It's always worth the investment for better baits! 👍
Nice one Waki😊

Those little Senkos are my desperation bait. If nothing else works, that's what I reach for.
Thanks! Little Senkos are definitely a secret weapon.

Can we just cut down a longer (thinner) Senko?
Yeah, maybe Thin Senko or Pro Senko. Let's try!
Where can we find size 6 hooks?
In Japan. Or Internet. This is very overpriced but for example... amzn.to/40bcpqf
Thank you. @@AnglerWaki

Do you ever use braid to a fluorocarbon leader?
Yup. But I love Nanofil.
@@AnglerWaki Is that Nanofil?! - doesn't look like it.
@@AnglerWaki What #test Nanofil do you use most often?
What difference genko and senko soft plastic..same company or not..
genko...?
If you're not using Yamamoto baits, you're getting skunked.
Yup. Yamamoto baits are clutch!
