The Canadian government continues to "target" Indian diplomats in the country. In the latest escalation to the ongoing diplomatic row between the two nations, Canadian foreign minister Melanie Joly said that Indian Diplomats are “clearly on notice”. She accused Indian diplomats of having links with criminal actions. The remarks came amidst Canada's probe into Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing. Nijjar was shot dead in British Columbia in June last year. Canada accused India of involvement in Nijjar’s killing, however, it did not provide any evidence to back its claim. India called Canada’s allegations “baseless” & politically motivated. On October 14, Canada named the Indian High Commissioner in Ottawa as a “person of interest” in the probe, following which India withdrew its envoy and other officials. New Delhi said it has no faith in the Canadian government’s commitment to ensuring its diplomats' security. Canada claimed it expelled six Indian diplomats. India also expelled six Canadian diplomats.

The Truth is even Canada and USA do not care about Nijjar and other Khalisthanis. These are all pressure tactics on India so that India obeys the West and stops being Neutral or Pro-Russia.
