    What I liked about this scene was the fact that after all that time, he was waiting at THEIR spot, and the smile on his face, you can tell that he said "I'm proud of you. You kept your promise. Come here, you." And it all ended with a kiss. I applaud Leo for the acting and he SHOULD have gotten an Oscar for that. I also applaud the music composer for capturing this...sad but happy ending. 2 emotions mixed into one musical score. That was amazing.

If I died before her, I would wait until she arrives in heaven with me. But no other pair or couple can beat Jack & Rose, they are just too strong

    The reason I'm so in love with this scene? Because it gives us a sense of closure for the victims of the Titanic. All of those people who had their lives cut short by this tragic event - all of them are now standing in union together, rich or poor, old or young, together in peace.

      Ujjwal Mehra there was a Joseph Dawson (who worked in the engine room) and a young lady (from first class) that James Cameron based rose off of, and yes they didn’t have a romantic relationship and I doubt they even met. On board the Carpathia
    Thursday, 18th April, 1912 I think we all feel a little better this morning,We, that are so fortunate, having lost no one; but all the poor women’s faces are piteous to see;yesterday morning I was very busy . . . cutting out garments for the Steerage and Second Class children,some of whom had no clothes at all,we made little coats and leggings out of the blankets . . . I slept a little better, but one wakens terrified,which is very silly, as we have nothing to grumble at in comparison with the poor widows,Oh, it is too dreadful to see them . . .”
    - Gladys Cherry, first class passenger

    • @zero3778
      @zero3778 4 года назад +1

      I'm sure a lot of the Carpathia passengers felt absolutely awful for some of the Titanic survivors. Wealthy passengers lost family but they had enough money to get through the tragedy. However, you had 3rd class passengers who lost a family member that was probably the sole breadwinner for the family. Additionally, most of them lost every possession they had with the exception of the clothes they had on their back.

    "Wednesday, Carpathia Just another line to say I am very well and getting quite used to things now . . . I escaped in my nightdress and coat and petticoats; everything else has gone . . .We are sleeping like a lot of dead things all over the floors of the ship . . . I dare say you all have lots of sympathy for me, but believe me, I am one of the lucky ones. My life is saved, my health is not impaired, and I have not lost anyone belonging to me. I tell you I have lots to be thankful for. I was ready to go down with the ship but they forced me into the lifeboat. I think it wicked to save the single girls, but now that I saved a baby whose mother was in another boat I don’t mind.We are still very fog bound, which makes all very anxious to arrive in New York."

    Dear Mother and Sister, I will now briefly write a few words to you to let you know that I am alive after great suffering and difficulties. You have probably read in the newspaper that the ship we travelled on sank.Oh great God what I have suffered on this voyage. . . . I feel so strange I can hardly write, I can’t collect my thoughts. I have bad news to tell . . . They were lowering lifeboats and I was thrown into one of them. I held on to Nils [her fiancé] with one hand and wanted to take him along, but they held him, being afraid that there would be too many of us. I screamed as loud as I could and wanted to go back, but at the same time I was lowered . . .”

      There was a leak of the film mix score for the live concerts, it includes this track. Some of the edits are very messy but it's interesting to listen too.

    It's cool that you recreate all the film version now that most of the material has been released, but I have the strong suspicion that this one is my edit, as it sounds exactly the same. It even contains my recreated string note at one of the transitions. It would have been nice if you credited me at least...

      Hello, Jointy95 !
      Thank you for your comment !
      You suspicion is right, I mixed up parts of La La Land new material with (well done) parts of your edit, but could not remember where I got this before your comment très bienvenu, otherwise, I would have mentionned you with pleasure, obviously. Now, it's done, and I modified my description to mention you. Sorry if you felt abused, it was not my attention.
      Among 41 tracks I uploaded, 3 are based upon previous edits. One without any modification of my own : "The wreck" - I mentionned it in the description, but unfortunatly can't remember where I got it (RUclips, Fans Forum, FFShrine ?), it was 2-3 years ago. I whish I could thank and congratulate the creator of this excellent edit, which I suspect to be a simple DVDrip with SFX removed.
      Two other edits are "Rose's suicide attempt" and "Heart of the Ocean", I could edit myself with La La Land Material but had to use some parts of previous edits for some delicate transitions. Here again, impossible to remember exactly where I got them, 2-3 years ago, far before I could imagine make edits of my own.
      Now I see your pseudo & your channel, and what you tell me, I can recall. Tell me if you recognize your work with "Rose's suicide attempt". For "The Wreck", I'm pretty sure I got it on FFShrine forum where I worked a lot with other fans like MichaelJeanBaker who did great job.
      Thanks again for your commentary, and congrats for all your work ! So great to have all the material for a complete film version, now ! 20 years !

      RadioKidCharlemagne thank you! I couldn't listen to all of your edits yet, but as far as I have come they sound great! I love the way the new album presents the score, but if you want the music to tell the story, you have to listen to the film edits, no matter how arkward some of Cameron's cuts are. Keep up the good work and once again, thank you for crediting me ;)

      You welcome, it's natural, whish I could do it before !
      The album is full of surprised with all this unrealeased and unknown material ! Some great parts never used ! Cameron's edit has akward transition, indeed (well hidden in the SFX), but I'm impressed by his work, all the good choices he made to recreate his own version of the score, to "improve" it !
      Bonne continuation, an honor to chat with you, and thank you !

      What kind of "edit" are you talking about? Re-creation or re-editing of the original soundtrack?

    • @Sska29
      @Sska29 10 месяцев назад

      @@CedarCoastCreativeThe tapes containing the raw scores that James Cameron's team gets from James Horner are not the ones directly used on film. The music director usually composes 4 or 5 hours worth of material with different varieties and approaches. What JC later does is when the rough cut of the film is put together with basic flow of the plot done, he sits down with the editing team and decides how to mix the raw tapes to tell the story with more verisimilitude and to bring out the essence of the story in terms of emotional beats that compliment the cuts and dissolves etc. to the print. So they go about making their own mix from James Horner's raw score which will flow well with the film cut and probably inspire interesting edits as the editing process continues.
      In case you were talking about jointy95's original comment then I think he's referring to the fact that he recreated the mix as heard in the theatrical version, because the actual theatrical version wasn't released ever and there was a leak of the unreleased score some time ago. La la land records released a 20th anniversary limited pressing of the soundtrack.
