  • We made it to 100 subs so I decided it would be nice to powerloop my Avata!

    Great video. Getting a quad stuck in a tree is like a gut punch lol. I had an old Ukrainian lady help me get mine down once with the help of a dude in a wheelchair. The old lady climbed under the fence to get it hahaha

      Hahaha, as long we get our quads back it sure makes some great stories/adventures.😄 Thanks for watching!

    drone recovery kit= 30mx3mm nylon cord... just a few quid. half empty water bottle tied to one end, the cowboy throw is much easier than you imagine, pinpoint accuracy within 3 throws, loop over branch, bottle falls all the way down then hold both ends to shake the branch.

    • @_REMIE

      Clever!! Will take a cord and bottle with me next time. Thanks!

    With my Avata I have found 1st part of the roll I have to thrust it up a bit more and reduce power after the 1st big thrust of the roll so to give it some good lift and do my roll. Give it good thrust up as your camera lifts away from the ground. I found out real fast that the Avata drops out of the sky like a brick out of an airplane!
    It is scary how fast that thing falls out of the sky. I lost my 1st Avata doing a forward flip over a tree did my 180˚ rotation so I can see the tree as I came down. I was coming down way too fast and couldn't give it enough thrust till it hit the hard dirt below and destroyed both of my bottom sensors. (Off to DJI for replacement!)

      Damn sounds like a bad crash! The Avata dropping like a brick, well said haha.
      This is an older video, last January I switched to a custom 5", I really enjoy freestyle FPV so I made the switch. I haven't flown de Avata ever since.😳

    Hello, your progress is excellent, I do not speak English, I will use a translator, I wanted to ask you in velocidron what drone do you practice with? And if you do it with the dji fpv controller? It would be great if you could show us how you do it for us newbies, thanks!!! 👍

    • @_REMIE
      @_REMIE  Год назад +1

      Hi, thanks! I used the drone which is called 'Little Basterd' in Velocidrone. I believe it's called like that.
      I didn't use the FPV controller but a cheap controller with USB connection ment for simulators. It's called the FlySky SM600 or something. I bought that one because it's very cheap and if I didn't like FPV I didn't lose a lot of money.
      Only after getting used to flying in the sim I bought the Avata.
      I will consider your request about making a video about, but I'm also very new to FPV so I don't know if my information is sufficient. There are a lot of good video from experienced pilots out there.
      Hope this helps!

      @@_REMIE Thanks for your answer and help, I bought the Avata but I still don't have the dji fpv controller because it is out of stock and it is difficult to get it for now, so with the dji fpv controller it would work in Velocidrone?
      I think your experience explaining how was your progress in Velocidrone is much better than other videos of experienced people since what I have seen from your videos you have had a great progress and it would be helpful to teach us how you were doing in the simulator for us beginners, I hope you consider making a graphic video of how you did in the simulator since I do not speak English but Spanish as I am Latin, thanks again for your help!!!!

      Haha thanks for watching! With the ducts and safety(noob) features I figured the Avata would be the best beginner fpv drone for me. I can also use the Avata for work projects.
      I bought the kit with the new goggles 2 and also the DJI FPV Controller 2 with the DJI Air Unit O3 in mind. When it comes out I will built or buy a 5"!
      Until then I will 'rip' the Avata.😄

      This video is a long time ago, did a lot of experimenting at the time, but it must have been something like:
      150 1100 0.64
      150 1100 0.64
      170 920 0.35

      Thanks! Finally was able to fly this morning after a long time so there will be a new video soon!
      I do use Rocksteady that's probably why it's so smooth! I use these rates:
      150 1100 0.64
      150 1100 0.64
      170 920 0.35

    it has enough power you just need to stop throttling it when it 5 feet from the ground its 400 grams with not a lot of thrust but pleanty

  • @geeH2oS
    @geeH2oS Год назад

    I powerlooped my Avata but I don't know if I'll try it again. The Avata doesn't like acro tricks at all. I installed the Axis motors and adjusted the rates a bit so it's a little better but it's always a little sketchy flying it in acro

    • @_REMIE
      @_REMIE  Год назад

      No it's definitely not meant for acro. But it's fun to push it's limits!😄
      How do you like the Axis motors so far? Is it worth it?

    • @geeH2oS
      @geeH2oS Год назад

      @@_REMIE I like the motors, definitely more power. They've pulled me out of a couple near crashes where I know I would've crashed with the old motors.
