Brilliant..Whitney was so much better live than in the studio. Live she had the same or better vocals but she brought so much more soul into her live performances..simply because she liked it more I think..she was free..she could decide.. You have to hear her sing live to understand how brilliant she was.

Never liked the studio recording of the song, but this live is everything it should’ve been.
The studio track is on my top3 most listened for that album… Narada Michael Walden knocked it out the park… but this live version Whitney and her whole band BLEW THE WHOLE F#%** ROOF off!!!

They way that bass ripped through the end 😍😍😍 . This is how it should have been originally recorded. Its almost unrecognizable on her first album. It just didnt stand out... BUT IN THE YEAR 1986.. under a bay area sky. She sangTF out of "someone for me".
