This non-practicing Protestant LOVES your music & the sense of shared community that is sadly missing in modern Christianity these days. Thank you for sharing your music & also for givong me some hope that all is not lost! Shalom y'all!
That’s because Protestantism butchered all the traditional Christian chants (Roman/Gregorian, Byzantine, Syriac, Coptic, etc.) and replaced it with Hillsong and the like.

My song favourite is what Adonai YESHUA was singing. every time he attended Shabbath with his beloved apostles. Shalom Aleichem
it's so so funny how they pronounce some hebrew songs perfectly, almost without any accent, and others with a heavy american one. 😂
either way i love this so very much!
Some of them they learned from other Jewish American and are sung in a heavy American accents. Other they heard from Israelis. Anyway neither of them is the correct Hebrew accent anyway xD
@@EatYourVegs they actually did quite well with songs like Hafinali xD but ye, huge kudus to them.
EatYourVegs Israeli accent that you would use in songs is the correct Hebrew accent. Modern Israeli Hebrew spoken by the youth is not so much because it’s heavily influenced by the US and UK’s “trendy” culture. The closest song in this video to actual Hebrew that I could hear is “malachai hashalom” in the 1910s song, the main singer has the accent pretty close (except for that round r sound)
@@mr.probable1236
and even malachei ha'shalom had noticeable enough american accent.
as for the "modern Israeli Hebrew" .. the israeli speech sounds the same for as long as i remember myself.. (at least 35 years) it sounded a bit different 60 - 70 years ago ( can hear it in old tv shows..), because of the many foreign accents of the Jewish people from all over the world, brought by the massive immigration.. so it had a bit different sound..
by the 70's all the accents were long gone and Hebrew had its own unique sound.
the thing that constantly changes though, is the slang and words borrowed from other languages.
the youth don't speak in other accent or use different pronunciation etc.
so. nope. no native Hebrew accent in this one..
all of them have some american accent.
So close. Lol
hearing them sing in Hebrew with an american accent is somewhat satisfying
peleg ariely sounds better!!!( in American accent

I used to hate English spoken with an Hebrew Accent.
It sounded hicksville.

Most of these songs are about peace and it makes me mad because we were like this all of history and everybody hated us

Brilliant ! It makes a point...several...that is so much bigger. About Jews and how we flow with the various currents throughout history. Not just music. But music is the best and most positive ride in the flow. And about the richness of what's around us culturally as we move on our various journeys, as individuals and as a people. For me, the simplicity and purity of acapella brings home the point. Thank you all for making this. The Shemster knows to whom to give what voice.

Wow! That's seriously amazing! Hearing you for the first time and just.... wow!!!
Hey Studs. I loved the medley. What would impress me is if you emulate the style of each song at the time it was written. That would add a new dimension in your performance.
I like all
⚘All of you really amazing ❤

I love them all, and so do my grandchildren. You have both a unique sound as well as a passionate presentation. I'd love to buy all of them.

I'd love to hear a full version of "Havdalah" and "Yerushalayim Shel Zahav".
wonderful - loved them all - great renditions of the classics
Coming back here to tell everyone how I miss this era of Y-Studs. Watched their latest Passover parody and I felt sad that most of them are not in the group anymore and only Eitan remains. I don't miss Nathaniel though because I still see him on Six13. But it's Jake and Jonny that I miss the most. But will be forever grateful to this video that introduced me to these Nice Jewish Boys and Jewish a capella groups as well. 😊🥰😘
PS. I understand why most of them already left the group. Most of them already have their own family, others are thriving for other goals in life and so much more. 😊
Apparently 1960s is my fave😆😊
Definitely need to do a full length Sharm el-Sheik. It is such an underrated and never covered song.
