Aside fron the carers, Dafydd talks to them (The Specials) though sometimes whenever they need to sort out something or whether they need some advice. He is the one (together with Carol- Hilly's mum) who set up the homes that the special individuals live in. He is Hilly's stepdad.
I just bursted out laughing when Sam said that most of Megans family is female 😂😂 no-kidding why she was so worried about him meeting the family😂😂 Bless her, Sam and everyone❤
Yeah,all of the kids seem to take things to heart,very deeply,when something is bothering them. And they seem to be genuine and honest. I only wish that MY friends were as true as these kids.

Calling these wonderful m young people 'The Specials' focuses on their disabilities and not their wonderful uniqueness and strengths.

I've been watching all these episodes for the past week...and I re-watch some of the episodes because, with these lovely people I find my own self in them...and their personalities. I think, in a lot of ways, that those with the extra chromosome make the world turn a bit more gently, a bit more kindly and a bit more beautifully. I had a sister that I loved so much...she was non verbal but, she communicated with her whole heart, with smiles and tears and she would answer yes or no questions by looking up for yes and down for no. She lived in a place where many residents thrived and their community was their peers and their carers had mutual trust, respect and fondness for each other. Perhaps many of us can learn to be more honest with our feelings as these friends are...and less discriminatory. Human beings are amazing people but, there are those in the world with such a capacity to hate and that frightens me more than anything. I waited through the episodes and watched the undeniable attraction between Sam and Megan ebb and wane...and I don't yet know what their futures hold but, that's just like the rest of us. I have a friend who is a well known rock and roll lady. In the 90s we sang together and spent time together during a very low point in her life...she had taken a lot of guff from band member and executives...I said to her, honey...in the scheme of things are the bullies worth your tears and self doubt...or are your sold out shows full of your fans that you write songs for more important. I was there for many of her recording well known songs...and there are 2 songs that I can think of as I watch this show. One song she sang is written by another artist and it's not a favorite of hers because her record executives in the 90s twisted her arm to work with other artists songs...One song called "Love's A Hard Game To Play" and the song writer explains through the lyrics what he sees in my friend and he relates to the pain she must of felt...and there is a song that I was present for (especially during the background vocals of some obscure guy ???🤫) called Real Tears a b side of a single. I wish those around me were more honest and cared about me as much as this group of friends do. Thank you guys for opening your lives to us and letting us join in your roller coaster of emotions that we all have...but, you are honest about your emotions...and I wish more people could be as honest and caring as you are. Bless you all.

People with learning disabilities and Down syndrome People are just so loving and welcoming. They get Judged badly and treated like children even though. There adults i can sympathise with these people as I'm an adult with learning disabilities and difficulties
