Project idea: make a giant flying transmitter, and then make the real transmitter look like a tiny RC plane. Even better if you can trick someone into thinking to just handlaunched the wrong thing. You'd have to make the wings and everything out of clear material to pull that off.
Thanks for sharing everybody's flights in the RV 12! It was a lot of fun seeing everybody getting to experience it for the first time. In my younger days I had a friend who built a Glassair 2S, and he let me take the controls and it was a similar experience for me, that very small fingertip touch on the control stick!
I watched Dave's build video, and he did an ingenious job of designing and assembling the airframe! Hope to build this model one day.

Too bad about all the smoke. You guys keep safe and happy. I have had a real Cessna 150 for 50 years and always wished that I could have a stick instead of a yoke to fly. But other wise it has treated me so nice.

hey josh, (or anyone in the flitetest staff) i am a 14 year old dude who is absolutely facinated with rc planes, and have already built about 13 of you designs including some from the master series. My intent here is to ask where i can seek advise from one of you directly, because i have been wanting to build a monster sized p47, and maybe even improve the design.

Don't you do that all the time? I mean, if you can make an R/C plane fly, then a real plane should be even easier. I know Sripol does it.
Easier is a little relative in this case. Perspective from sitting in an actual airplane certainly helps with control and situational awareness. One thing to consider though is that most RC aircraft have a huge amount of control and power to weight ratio compared to manned aircraft. This means you can get away with a lot more aggressive maneuvering and recoveries comparatively. Not to mention your life isn't tied to mistakes.
