Quick question when you added the new radio unit, did you have to do modify the settings or did it automatically adjust to the car settings?
Everything was just plug and play! Since the Sync system is a separate unit that it plugs into

You can actually make those work I install those on my 2016 three years ago and all you have to do a splice into one wire and they will work

Murderedout3.7 It is a wire on the passenger side kick plate if you go to CJ pony parts videos they have a similar set up and then I’ll teach you how to run the wires

I purchased the leather upholstery from eBay and installed them myself, along with all of the other upgrades!
Awesome video man, my 2018 came with this door sill plates but it doesn't light up and i don't get why, when i open that wiring area it is plugged in, but still doesn't work.. i been looking online for days for this solution but i have found nothing....

How much was the dash unit?
It was about $300, but I don’t recommend it because there are issues sometimes with the reverse camera and sync, usually only when it’s really hot outside
Has anyone actually done this with the lights ?
For some reason my driver side stopped working, but my passenger side works. probably an issue with my wiring job
You got the rs mustang or did you just change the whole front fascia?
No it’s just a standard V6, I actually hit a huge ass groundhog and fucked up my whole bumper so I bought the Roush one!

What decklid badge do you have?
What’s your email. I installed these too. But I wired them up. You can only set them to blue, ice blue, red, green, purple, yellow or white, when installing without the car being premium. But, I can email you how to hook them up.

Hey drew, did you ever get around to getting these to light up? I just got a pair for myself and I’m looking to wire it to my fuse box without splicing into any wires. Any recommendations on what fuse I should use so that it operates only when the door is open?
My mustang is 2018
Ford sells the entire kit with all wiring and instructions for installing on a base model. ... Just in case you haven't finished 9 months later.
@@kerrysnyder9810 thanks for the idea. I ended up cutting the wrong wire , so I just took it to a car audio shop and they hooked it up for $80. Not what I was looking to do, but I was just fed up with it
@@kaibro3622 it's always good to give it a good honest try before giving in. I'm actually doing the install at this moment and am looking for the correct wire. Haha. Purple and white... Hopefully I'm cutting it from the correct terminal.
@@kaibro3622 looks like I didn't have much luck either. I used the gray wire with purple stripe like the instructions state, and my door sills only light up when I hit the lock button. Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'll try again and wire it the way CJPonyparts does in their video.
