In the king of tone circuit there are 2 sets of clipping diodes. One in the soft clipping loop of the op amp, and one after the op amp which makes it hard clipping. The switches are turning those clipping diodes on or off. Or, more accurately, the off setting is bypassing the clipping diodes so you're only getting op amp overdrive.

@@SuperdangerStudios Mine just arrived today. Sounds absolutely terrific.
Love the slightly blasphemous name. This one I might pickup
Haha you’re the first person to pick up on that.
They gave me a Sweet Baby pedal, based on the Sweet Honey OD. It’s a great pedal….really. It’s an always on pedal, because I worry about the switch…lol.
I’ve tried so many different overdrives and always end up going back to the Sweet Baby. This KOK sounds great too! Great content!
@@kylesamson8651 It’s a great boost drive!! As good as the Sweet Honey 99/100. Joyo switches are leave a little to be desired, but you can’t beat the sound!
@@liontone I have mine in the loop of a boss ms3 so I can just leave the pedal on all the time and switch it in and out. Cheers!
I gotta try the sweet baby!
I like that you mentioned "blasphemous" because there is only one King of Kings ☝️, i really liked on what you said about Joyo giving you the pedal. So many RUclipsrs sound like they've been given dirty money when they are explaining "yes i was given this but I'm going to give you my honest opinion, for real I'm not lying 🙄" 😂😂😂. I would say most of us are adults and like you said we will be able to hear the truth 👍
Amen! And youre right! I assume all adults can filter out what a pedal could sound like in their rig regardless of the advertising angle! CHeers!
@@SuperdangerStudios 👊👊
I imagine this with a mid knob would be super versatile.
It would! Putting an eq pedal after would be a good call. I actually have a single band parametric eq i might use for that.
Joyo need a HM2 clone
I think they just came out with a heavy distortion pedal. Can't remember the name.
This brand is getting a lot of attention..
I subd .. I ended up buying the pedal .. but that’s not why I subd .. I subd because you mentioned the “slightly blasphemous name” …
There is only 1 King of King!
I tried one and it sounded terrible :/
Dang that’s crazy. Maybe a bad unit?
"im a reguler guy" no youre NOTT
I am!
good style review..... well done sir :). i ain't gay but damn, you must get alot of chicks :)
Haha thank you my dude. And I’m married to the game so yknow how that goes haha
Lol! Slightly blasphemous. That’s the first thing I noticed. Thanks for the demo.
Haha I think I’m the only person who brought this up!
Wow. I'm not sure I've ever seen a blaspheming guitar pedal before.
Great review. I'd prefer an affiliate partner that does not send billionaires to Mars though. I will absolutely never buy at Amazon.
Once I get approved into another retail store affiliate program it’s gonna change
you're right it is a slightly blasphemous name
That right side tone in front of a blackface is BEGGING for a tele! Would sound better with some chicken pickin style.
Good call! I’ll do it this weekend for a short video
@@SuperdangerStudios you’ve definitely sold me on the pedal though! I’m a worship guitarist I can’t wait to see what it’ll do with a nice reverb.
Love the slightly blasphemous name. This one I might pickup
Haha it is!
