Very helpful review! I went tent camping with a Model 3 and it was great! But, it was a totally separate tent. This is brilliant! My only question, did it use 15% without being plugged in (so despite being plugged in it still used 15%) or was it not plugged in and used 15%? Long story short the best part about tent camping with the Model 3 was charging it overnight and thus not having to pay anything extra for “fuel”, so I’m wondering if using it in camp mode would negate that benefit. We drove hundreds of miles during the days on that weeklong trip (it was a national competition where we stayed at a state park instead of at the venue) so being able to charge while using camp mode would be important. Just not sure how effective that would be from this video (not a knock, it’s a specific concern that I happen to have that wouldn’t generally apply so I understand why it wasn’t addressed, can’t cover every possible thing or the video would be ten hours long!)
Is there a seal around the tent and car to make sure no bugs get in while the truck in open? Would only want this if the trunk and interior tent is one connected space with no bugs and temperature controlled.
Yes, you can completely seal off the tent from the outside using the mesh zippered door which closes off any gaps while allowing air flow from the Tesla to the tent. You can see it zipped up In a part of the video
Just went camping this weekend, and ended up sleeping in the back of the tesla because our mattress inside the tent deflated. Luckily I do have a tesla mattress and used that. I’m definitely going to get this tent, it may look difficult but once you set it up once, it will take you 10 minutes going forward
Question: I'm considering a Tesla and we need to camp 3 days for dog AKC sporting events. If I ran the AC the entire time with this tent, would I deplete the battery? Thanks in advance for your reply. Your videos are informative to someone considering a Tesla.
Is there not any contact/seal around the tail light / wheel area? Didn't really see much of it. My worry is bugs coming up through there (and around the bumper too) since nothing seems to be touching it and blocking them?
Get the Tesla AC Tent: amzn.to/45W0EEx
Another outstanding video Mike!!! Thank you and your Lady for sharing this extremely useful content...Stay Blessed Guys🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super cool! Camping with a Tesla. Oh my that’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. 🏕️🚘

Finally a tent for my Tessie model 3 yayyyyyy. Can’t wait to buy this and try it out
You're going to love it!
Thanks for sharing! Might have to pick one of these up.
You should!

@@MikeSeuss but then isn't access restricted from inside the tent to inside the Tesla?
Which power plug did you plug into? Sounds like you didn't use the 50 Amp plug.
Looks neat, thanks for the video...

helpful review ty!
You're welcome!
What would you say was the temperature where you were sleeping? How well would this work in the summer time when its easily 100 degrees in NC?
This was in August which was the hottest month, it worked surprisingly well!
Would definitely try this accessory on my Model Y.
It’s great

For 3 days straight with ac, I don’t believe it will deplete the battery, I’d say maybe 30%

Not much but the zippered screen stops anything from getting in
Thank you! ❤
You're welcome 😊
Will this work on a model s I wonder
Honestly the way its built it should definitely fit
do we usually need to do car camp in RV sites?
No, you don't need to
Great video as always. How long did the tent take to set up in the end? Also, is your Insta gone?
About a half hour but now it's much faster since I know how everything goes and the poles stay attached to the tent
Nice, but my caming days are behind me. If I am going to rough it, Holiday Inn is as rough as I get.
Haha
Did it take that battery hit despite being plugged in ?
Yes, very small drop
Rule # 4~ 5 Always setup your tent before going camping !!!
👍🏾
WAY too much work. I TeslaCamp all the time but it’s just me in the car, which is much easier.
Understandable
Hard Pass. 😎👎 Happy Trails!
Thanks!
