I want one. The first thing that I liked was the basic instrument cluster without chrome trim ring's. The second and very important part 18 spd manual gearbox.
For sure,....plastic, plastic all over hell. IF there is a wiring fire/ your going to be TOAST. Modern wiring, in cars/trucks/etc. is NOT AS HEAVY and as large a gauge, as IS REQUIRED, for rough roads. which most are rapidly becoming. BACK in the DAY, when trucks were T R U C KS.....say 1975 to 1985...best ones ever CREATED,by all makers. WE need to quit, appearing to be 'futuristic '' and open up to quality, reliability, and diamond tufted leatherette interiors, with good heat/insulating qualities. There is not much insulation/protection value, in cheap/cracking in cold weather, PLASTIC. Also, take out those damm computers. Trucks, should be fixable, ON THE ROAD, not in a computerized shop/enviornment. ...i am disgusted, with these rolling pieces of 'fake plastic ' crap....GOOD LUCK, to all owners/drivers... Thankyou for delivering my ''stuff''.....................
@@theoregontruckerT880 thought auto's were the standard option for the 4900's too tho. Heard one owner say there were some issues going to a standard 13 speed. Computer glitches that had to be diagnosed and compensated for and some shortcomings in terms of splitting and downshifting while under load after the change. Just a heads up to folks
Disgusting… Somebody needs to be fired immediately! I would’ve preferred the line was discontinued and the plant shuddered than see the brand desecrated like this.
Ya well..Western Star bought out ERF of Britain in the 90's - the same with Paccar and FODEN in the 80's - both historic makers of premium tractor units in the UK and they were both sold down the river by their foreign north American owners in a few short years. 'This is what you get when you sell out to foreign interests.' - Exactly.. So I conclude that what goes around usually 'comes around.'
Freightliner is not even an American company...German owned and assembly in Mexico by cheap labor and mark up price in USA for profit. Mack is Volvo owned by Chinese. I will stick with a real American truck company and quality truck...PACCAR
Love the truck it's looks nice but The only thing though is I see frieghtliner interior design on western star Wich takes away from the western star traditional interior look . Looks cheap inside like the cascadia . Western stars are knowned for class and luxury. That interior is not what western star is.
8:50 that, trailer brake lever, should be reversed. Should be down, in driving/normal position. In the present state, if driver gets weary/falls asleep, danger exists ihe reaches over for something...and .....!#$#$@#$@#$ will hit the fan....
? where did the good old Bostrom and CushnAir air seats, (real solid steel !)......go ? shove these modern , pretzel body-making seats, where they belong.....straight back seat, or obesity !!!
I’m no trucker, nor have I ever been one, but this is a very nice looking rig.
I am and it IS. Yup
It's just a Freightliner now. Sad. I'll keep by CAT powered 4900
YOU'RE just a Freightliner now too! Now what?!
Really look amazing good job to the manufacturing

Western star has lost the owner operator market with this P.O.S!! Should have stayed with traditional looking truck's
They still make the 4900ex and sf square hoods the 49x is replacing the 4900sb slope hood for regional and vocational use

I was told no more 4900EX. Tried to order one. No go

I wish i could get one of these
It is nice. It would sure he handy for flatbedding
Most beautiful truck western star. I had a drive in 1996 to 2004. Western star.. Greatest truck.
I only drove for 2 weeks and this truck consumes fuel too much tho did you see that.
It's a Cascadia Cosplaying as a Western Star.
Just a Freightliner Coronado with a different hood and the Western Star logo. 🤮
Looks like a Freightliner!
Is this a low roof or a mid roof?
Horrible. Coranado with Western Star logos. Freightliner killing the once glorious Star Car.
Exelente Camión, una verdadera máquina de trabajo para todo tipo de condiciones.
El interior es el mismo new cascadia
Freightliner cab.....wtf...
Какой же он красавец👍😍
Унификация! Кабина Каскадии, стирается индивидуальность, но, красавчик
Will take a fld120 or classic XL over this any day of the week
Awesome 💯👍🆗🔝
Freightliner has strayed to far from the originality of the original Western Star design, all this is, is a plastic Cascadia on steroids.
Need truck but it’s really a Freightliner but it still look nice but sleep too little for me
Daimler has destroyed Western Star's durability reliability. This is what you get when you sell out to foreign interests.

Don't like chrome less shinny more performance, I like the solution to airbag lean.
Needs chrome on backup beeper..
Very disappointing dash. Wow can’t believe it. Not for me🤗🇺🇸
Still comes with a ridiculously short shifter i see.

Volvo Trucks is not owned by the chinese...only Volvo cars.
Looks like a regular ol freight liner in the inside which sucks
Dream truck
Interior looks very cheap.
Very small sleeper
Красавец! :)
What the hell is that above the bunk? Must be a tub 🛀 for the driver 😄
👍👍👍👍👍
Super truck
Used to be world class high quality truck. Now just cheap plastic garbage. Sad.
First kw builds an international. Now western star builds an international. Glad I left driving so I don't have to drive this junk.

That bar add-on in front of the grille is agricultural at best what a disgrace!
Less zoom pls!

O Lord, give me a 1985 Mack, any version........not this rolling plastic computerized crap...

Cascadia 2022 looks much better inside and outside, roomy
Inside yes but you actually like the look of the new cascadias??? I think they're ugly as hell
@@cabovercody4314 I agree
Looks like a freightliner Cascadia but with stacks. Not very appealing on the looks. Whoever designed this truck needs to do better
🇩🇿 i love
Identico a su hermano el cascadia mas barato
Que pena por wéstern star a perdido la esencia de la marca este camión se párese más a un Freightliner
Genuine fright Star leftover freightliner parts come on people. 👎😂
It's all right. Just drive it
Sorry, but that's one seriously ugly truck
👍👍👍👍👍
