Here's a Chuck Berry, rock 'n' roll classic. I first heard this one played by The Beatles on the 'Beatles For Sale' album when I was a kid. John Lennon did a fine job of singing it. Great lyrics as always from Chuck!

Hi Jeff, first would like to thank you for inspiring me to take up the acoustic guitar and go solo. I have been playing electric lead guitar and lead vocals in a cover band in restaurants and bars in Pondicherry, India, since 2010. Lost my job due to the pandemic. And I always wanted to go solo with an acoustic yet I never played the acoustic guitar in my life before as directly went electric always needed a band to back me. Singer / songwriter stuff with an acoustic was not what I liked. Always loved and played 50s rock and 60s psych and surf and rock with my band. I have learnt a lot from your videos on how to just play with just an acoustic my favourite genre of 1950s rock. Thank you very much for these instructive videos and best wishes from India.

Hi Ishit. For some reason I never thought that 1950s rock 'n' roll would be popular in India. It's great to know that it is! I'm glad you've found my videos useful. I have often played this music on electric guitar in bands, but I've always loved being able to take my acoustic guitar to a party, to a pub, or to sit outside in a park in the summer and make these songs work on just an acoustic.
