I particularly liked this video. My husband retired as covid interrupted our world. He is a family practice physician and practiced more than 60 years! He had an exam table very similar to the one you are refinishing and other matching pieces to this. They were in very good condition, I can't remember what happened to them, but he used for years! Thank you.

We so often think of household pieces when thinking of MCM items and never consider professional furniture used during the era. The craftsmanship and construction of this piece has so much depth of beauty and functionality than the current medical and dental exam beds in use. The original designer, manufacturer, and owner must all have felt a strong sense of pride in the appearance and ownership of this beautiful piece.

It’s amazing the ingenuity of the designers of these pieces with the heavy and complicated fixtures they used back then, but they had so much more CLASS than today’s dinky models for the same purpose! Thank you for showing them to us as they would have looked when new. Very impressive, both to look at and that you manage to drag it back into usability! Just love watching you work your magic! The medical office you showed us was quite lovely. There aren’t many buildings from that era here in the States. My dad worked for many years in an office building built in the mid-40’s. They were able to get building materials for an office only because they put manufacturing in the basement and had been building stuff for the war effort. My first job was working in that basement and the hallways were still the original finished cement in the basement

There was a different mindset amongst the builders of yesterday. Time moves on I suppose and the only constant in life is change I accept. The availability of different materials with different qualities and the pairing down to necessity of form over function has form of its own I guess. Still nice to see people like yourself paying appropriate homage to this chunk of artisanry.

it looks so much better after the restoration you gave it. Being a medical table I would've thought there would be decades of bacteria from the many different patients which would been absorbed in the wood and elsewhere. wearing rubber gloves and washing the med table with hospital grade disinfectant would been good protection

It looks beautiful. My doctor has one just like that in her office.

Wow! I always appreciate that you provide insight into the history of a piece of furniture and the results of your work are great. But this time you have exelled yourself. The piece belongs in a museum...

It’s beautiful. I love watching your process. It’s certainly ready for a museum or a doctors office with a flair for history.

Really interesting piece. Great for your dungeon. LOL. I wouldn't have stained it. I like the natural color of wood and the variations.

I don't know what you intend to do with this piece of furniture, but I think it should be put in a museum
