Anxiety

Tapping at the window
In the night when I can't sleep
Could it be the wind
Or someone hiding in the ash tree
If I try to burn it down
My secrets could go free

Hunting for a cure
To make the jitters go away
Never really sure
Am I the hunter or the prey
Climbing up the ivy
Someone's coming home to stay
Anxiety
Rising up on tiptoe
A spider like a head
Climbing up the bedpost
Dropping down onto the bed
Anxiety
Fire on the hillside
Fire in the hall
Waters burn from east to west
The sky begins to fall
No time left for secrets
No time left at all.
