My goodness, she literally asked him what was different between this new movie and the original Mean Girls and he didn't say this one was a musical (just briefly mentioned the existence of the Broadway musical). You could tell he was instructed not to mention it being a musical. Such a weird marketing choice.

I think alot of it comes from the summer I turned pretty fans. Especially the ones who like his brothers character on the show. People are weird.
