X-Men '97 is an American animated television series created by Beau DeMayo for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men. It is a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997), continuing from where that series ends. It depicts the X-Men facing dangerous new challenges following the loss of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier. X-Men '97 is produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with DeMayo serving as head writer for the first two seasons, and Jake Castorena as supervising director.
Several cast members return from the original series to reprise their roles or voice new characters, including Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Alyson Court, Lawrence Bayne, and Ron Rubin. The revival was first discussed in June 2019 and was formally announced in November 2021; DeMayo and Castorena were involved by then. Chase Conley and Emi Yonemura also directed episodes. DeMayo was fired as head writer after completing work on the series' first two seasons in March 2024 ahead of the series premiere. The series is the first X-Men project from Marvel Studios since the studio regained the film and television rights to the characters. Animation was provided by Studio Mir and is a modernized version of the original series' style.
X-Men '97 premiered its first two episodes on March 20, 2024, to critical acclaim, with the remainder of the ten-episode first season releasing weekly until May 15. A second and third season are in development.

Yes . I think in the end after the X-men defeat sinister and bastion magneto will be the final battle since he declared war. Xavier will wipe his mind and we will be left with a major cliffhanger. Or apocalypse is really behind the whole bastion deal seeing which is the strongest to survive out of the human and mutants

Yeah there's no way he's actually dead. We haven't seen a fight circle with Night Crawler yet much less one with Gambit and Night Crawler. Good to know he's not actually dead.

@@harrisonjones3931 Morphs powers are more physically based. In other words words he could mimc powers like super speed and strength when he turns into that mutant. Gambits doesn't counts as that so I don't think he would choose to turn into Gambit during a fight.

Hey this isn't Magneto's fault Bastion started all this along with the Mutant Hating world leaders and people, who let themselves become human Sentinels. He watch thousands of innocent Mutants be massacred on Genosha, nearly died himself, then was held prisons forced to watch the enslavement of his kind. I say Magneto has every right in the world to fight back, did you forget his speech at the UN and it played out EXACTLY like he said it would as he stated with the UN and OZT "This is your Dream, my kind splayed before you, powerless and afraid." And its not like he didn't give them fair warning if they continued with their Mutant Hating agenda's as he stated "Please, do not make me let you down."
