The warranty on my 3070 FE will run out this year (thanks to this channel I kept an eye on the nvidia w/s & still have my kidneys) & I will be waiting until the dust settles before upgrading apart from the price/performance of the GPU I will be looking out for 2 other deciding factors that often get overlooked hot spot temp & real power consumption, both these factors determine how much your GPU costs to run & how long it lives for. Two very important things in this very expensive day & age.
Pure raster numbers will not be anywhere near NVIDIAS claims. My guess is a 20% uplift once the actual performance numbers come out. People have been conditioned to think a 70 series at $600 is some great value is sad LOL.
Pure raster performance with 4K and Ultra settings is a pipe dream with the current tech available to consumers. We've hit an obvious wall with power consumption/performance. Nvidia would rather go the Ai route instead of Intel's route with Raptor Lake.
@@Dexion845 some people did not understand the physics limitation and hurdle we got with node shrink. they still think every node can still bring in massive performance and efficiency. the worse thing is they cannot accept the reality of how expensive it is and often compared the gpu price from a decade ago when wafer was significantly more cheaper .
the x70 at 600 already quite generous looking at how expensive current nodes are. just take this for example: GTX1060 die size is 200mm2 and the card priced $250 back in 2016. TSMC 16nm back then start at $4000 per wafer. now current 5nm starts at $17,000 in 2022. 4060Ti which have similar die size to GTX1060 priced at $400. if the card being priced in more linear fashion to wafer price increase over the years 4060Ti would at least cost $1000. and this is just from wafer perspective alone. still not counting like increasing other component price hike like copper or labor cost increase.
Surgery? Yikes! Glad you're back in action, shame about missing CES. I'm sticking with my 4090 and will re-eval on the next round. The only thing that might get me onto a 5090 is seeing must-have local models pushing past 24 GB requirements (yet still fitting in 32 GB).
I'm probably going to get a 5080, that $999 price point is not too painful and it looks like their founder's edition cooler is pretty good so I won't need to pay extra for better cooling. Thumbs up!
@@bekabex8643maybe he can’t wait that long. Same as me. Might just go with 5080 and use DLSS and FG etc to get the performance I need. As long as it’s better than 4090, I’m sure my needs will be met n

12:38 AMD is Done... For even $100 less, NO ONE will buy the RX 9070 XT ! (pricing according to RTX 5070) $450 will still be Xtremely high for that 7900 GRE/XT equivalent. Sounds much better @ $400 which AMD will NOT do, Ever !!! * But, don't worry AMD will be back on stage with UDNA cards 🤪 (high hopes for 10+ years & there is still NOTHiNG yet!)
Exactly. The 9070xt is doa unless priced 399, and it never will. People will pay the Nvidia tax even for a card with less VRAM. It's clear as day now why they didn't show anything at the CES presentation. They simply silently conceded.
I should add that i game ALLOT nowadays. My alienware monitor had panel refresh popup like week ago thats 9th time puts it at 13 500 hours of use still no burn in just need to record vid for my youtube checking close. Iw put 1000 hours in warframe in 3 months lol. Man hyped for new gpus i can put maximum textures in games again when i upgrade.
I've had a 3070 FE since launch, which has been working really well. But with the 8GB RAM limit, I'm seeing the limitations more and more. There are certainly occasions where I wish I could crank every setting up to max at 4K with all RT options enabled and 60 FPS, or even just more of those settings, but the 3070 is just not the card for that. It sounds like the 5070 or 5070TI would get me close to those targets with most games that are out now. I'm curious to see what the performance differences look like between those two, and if it's really worth the additional $200 for the TI model, especially considering the additional 4GB of VRAM. Either way, I'm pretty excited for this launch. I think the AI features are going to be more game-changing (literally) than people are expecting.
Will have to wait for real world benchmarks, and see how AMD answers. I am curious to see if any of the claimed performance uplift from Nvidia will be lost if you are using a PCIe Gen 4 motherboard. In general, pricing is still based on the unsustainable levels of the Great GPU Shortage/Mining shortages of 2019-2022. AMDs biggest competitor is not really going to be Nvidia, it will be their own previous gen GPUs that have good rasterization, more realistic vram totals, and generally substantial discounts. Until we see actual benchmarks, it is hard to get a good picture of what the GPU market will look like in 3 months. Oh, and don't forget team Blue. A 16GB B750 and/or 24GB B770 at a competitive price might make the Mid Tier an arena with some competition that has been missing for the past couple of generations.
how can anyone be excited for these ? they'e like 20% uplifts ? i think nvidia leaking out fake prices have made these seem like they're well priced. How can people so easily manipulated. Am i the only one seeing through their bullshit ? far cry 6 is only around a 20% uplift WITH RT on , thats not a good sign since apparently the Ray tracing uplift was the focus, that means raster could be even less. A plague tale looked closer to 30% with RT on, but again...the raster only uplift could be smaller. These are literally just going up one tier for each card, the 5070 replaced the 4070ti, the 5070ti replaces the 4080, the 5080 looks like it wont even match the 4090, its basically a 70 class card. how can people be excited for such a small uplift with prices that still terrible, i dont understand it lol
dont need morgage i got 2000 quid waiting that i mined up on my 3080 back in 2020. So i have free 3080 and now will have free 4090 also had free titan Xp. Man i miss mining :( Anyhow my 3080 is lacking Vram and juice in new games to run games on my alienware oled.
UDNA is the next big AMD project. This “gen: is more of a refresh on the same architecture. Tbh Nvidia’s gen seems similar. The 5090 has the bus opened up wide and the power cranked up 30% to force more from the same card essentially. I bet the coil whine on a 5090 is abominable.
@@RiderOfKarma AMD didn't even dare to present their new GPUs, that's how much they gave up. I am not happy with Nvidia too, but it's ridiculous to say they have given up.
I also think that was a bit exaggerated, but if the 5070 is anywhere near the performance of 4090 making it faster then the 4080, then the AMD 9070 XT is done for.
I'm glad you're healthy! Keep up the awesome work!

Fsr4 will be available in every game that already has fsr3.1. which is 40-60 games I believe.
