I miss the arcades such an awesome time for kid's when ever you got bored just call your friends and head to the arcade for hours of fun.
There's this place in fortworth texas called cidercade that has a few of these japanese fighting game consoles. 2 with KOF and 2 with MvC
@@trashboat5388 The Tokyo Vice season one arcade scene brought me here! Waiting for season two to release in the U.K. It's a five star series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm a 90's baby but I never played Street Fighter in the arcade much, it was more racing and shooting games in the arcade-I've been to Tokyo but I'd go just to play some Mario Kart and Street Fighter at the arcade!
I lived in this place "Shakuji Koen Nerima Ward" more than 20 years ago, i remember this game center very well. The boss was quiet and polite men, i played alot there some days.
There was few 50Yen arcade cabinet too.
Shakuji Koen shopping street was full of nice shop, expecially one cheap Karaoke with all you can drink for 1500yen... There is also one big lake with rental boat 10 minutes walking from the train station.
It was so nice decade if compair with now. Miss that days so much, i was thinking about this time yesterday when i accidentally found this video. Thank you so much.
Shakuji Park it's the second biggest Park in Tokyo after Ueno, even Shakuji koen are only 13min by train from Ikebukuro the atmosphere was amazing.
There was one very old granny who owned beer and food shop in Shakuji Park, when i asked her how long have you been working here her answer was since Taisho Jidai(1912-1926)... Ranma 1/2 story place are in Shakuji Koen, there is lot of field and farmers put they veggies on basket you can buy by putting 50yen or 100yen on the plate and nobody steal. There is lot of old houses, Shrine and temple too.
Awesome
Wow, thanks for sharing your wonderful memories. 🙇♂️👍
Where are you from and what were you doing in Japan at that time? How do you remember early nineties?
The 70s & 80s born kids lived a great childhood life...we came,saw,felt & grew with the changing world...❤️❤️❤️❤️
And know our world is no more. At least my dad can go play Pool with his friends. But what about our world? You know what I mean?
@@ignacio6454 yea it's sad I'm 14 and I wanna live in the 70s and 80s so much more opportunities to do activities rather than just sitting in front of a screen in my bed having classes and being unproductive
@@Dylan-qp3mf I understand. Though I was referring to playing arcades with the friends, I remember being a teenager, smoking cigarrettes and playing arcade games, NeoGeo games to be more precise, man that was the life and we did not know. I even miss the smelly guys hahahha. Your generation is gonna have to at some point decide if they want freedom or live this miserable life enslaved to the PC's, and in a way they would save us all.
My mom was there 90's and this was her experience. so cool 😎
'92, '93, '94, '95 were the golden ages of fighting games.
Incredible footage
Street Fighter 2 was really popular back then.
It's was really huge back then
SF2's popularity cannot be understated. It literally saved the entire industry.
I love the arcades. They have amazing classic games and every time I go there are still many fun and chill gamers there. I love these retro vintage videos It's fun. Cool video. ^_^
Those kids are in their 40s now
Yeah man ...and what about that Japanese Uncle who managed the arcade? I wonder how old he will be right now...
3:58 truly unhinged quarter circling there
SF2 craze in the 90's
Shoutout from Malaysia.
I miss the arcade... I from Malaysia.
Where did you play your first arcade?
Excelente video y saludos desde Lima Perú
God bless all the people in the video
It's exactly like what I seen in Hi Score Girl (also set in 90s Japan) and it's a similar setting in western arcades but the cabinets have their own distinct looks.
Beautiful. 🤩🇯🇵🗾
I was one of them
I very much prefer these Arcade machines to the ones we have here in the US. Nice wide screens at a more ergonomic angle and also had seats! I've never seen seats in front of a machine like that. Here in the states there are no seats to guarantee high turnover in sales.
Great time to be a kid back then. Nowadays children are living in constant fear, isolation, masking and cellphones..
MUH CELLPHONES DESTORYING MUH GENERATION
@@WinterandNoodle its less cell phones more so just social media in general. it's not ruining our generation lol, things change as time passes, but know that it comes with both negatives and positives. things have never been easier with the technology we have today, but there is some rise of isolation and addiction
Very interesting 😄❤️
BORN 1987 This is what I call home.
according to the translation "free customers cannot be incinerated", which makes sense
Really nice.
I need to go to Japan but in the place that we're situated in on covid 19 is giving us problems...I..I go no words man
That was awesome. I love sit down Japanese arcade machines.
This reminds me of Hi Score Girl on Netflix!
I wish there are subtitle, in the full documentary as well.
this documentary tell" today's (:then)the decline of small game center "
Timeless
That's so cool!
"Misspent". Those are the things you live for.
Arcade is something far better than games in android. The social. The limited time play. The fun. It is addicting but not as toxic as android in kids hands.
Thanks for this journy to past
What an era ! I miss the 80s so much.
90s*
I think I just saw young Kiryu
Nowadays, I'm emulating all these games with RetroArch and a cheap $40 arcade stick. Still fun, but not the same.
Yeah not the same for sure. The world was just full of hope back then, and the arcade just was the cherry on top.
I hate to say it but i think humanity peaked in late 20 century and now we are on downfall, sad to know good days will never come baco
3:55 I'll be sure to use this next time I'm at cidercade
Hey @TRNGL! Hope you will make a digitally restored video footage of 90s Japan in the future.
Those Seimitsu controls, long before Sanwa got popular for fighters.
Yup, I had my old stick done up in Sanwa stick / Seimitsu buttons for nostalgia ya know.
Miss something I didn't live
Now: rhythm games goes brrrrrr
2:15 Anyone know what cabinet this is?
4:08 Oof I felt that
Is the owner from Osaka?
Good afternoon! Please tell me if it is possible to use fragments from this video for public purposes?
Looks almost the same to the arcades in Hong Kong.
The auto translate said that he traveled over 3 and half hours with soy sauce @3:10
Surely it was Soy Sauce for Geese.
Street Fighters2!!!!
1990 crane game < arcade
2010 arcade < crane game
2020 crane game < card shop
You can't jab and throw. That's cheating
😄😄😄😄...welcome to the 90s Arcade
How much were games back then?
100 Yen.
Arcade
Which year is this ?
Smartphones destroy all children's fun.
I agree , the smartphone era is mundane and dull compared to this era when life was simple gaming and socialising with others. Times were so much more enjoyable and simpler back then.
