So difficult to tell a child about death. My heart breaks just watching the clips. Kudos to the way this storyline was done. You gave it the reality it deserves.
The whole story of Mike really hit home for me as I went through it with my mom 10 years ago when I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s. They did a beautiful job and it was so accurate. It touched the core of my heart. It was done to perfection. It hit me very hard having lived through it myself. The only difference was I had hospice bring a hospital bed to my mom’s apartment set it up in the living room and I flew home as did my kids my two brothers lived there and we literally all hung around her bed. I told the hospice nurse we didn’t need them, they gave us a bottle of liquid morphine my little mother was 65 lbs I remember we got her to drink a little water for 2 days than that was it. When Stella showed Sonny how to moisten Mike’s mouth with water I lost it, the tears were running down my face as thats what we did with my mom. We gave her very little morphine as she was so small we kept her comfortable played music for her, prayed. We’d was her face and just gave her all our love. At 5:37am the sun rose in the biggest ball I have ever seen in my life and she took her last breath. We had to wait about 2 hours for the funeral home to get there so I was finally able to get in bed and hold my little wonderful mother in my arms till they arrived. This entire storyline has been like reliving it again and I want to congratulate the actors, writers and directors for doing such a magnificent believable job. Outstanding!! 😢💟🌈
