Chris I cannot overstate the importance of your videos for beginner artists. Keep up the good work my man.
Thank you so much 🙏
This is really good stuff - you really put a lot out there, an entire course for free. May the trade winds blow your way, and deliver you the best students, both for your financial needs, and the qualities these fine productions can impart.
What an incredible video, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us.
I'm not really into realism but listening to your lessons and applying your advices helped me to improve a lot. I strongly believe that realism or cartoony, anime whatever, the foundations and fundamentals are the same. Ty so much for your hardwork and videos !
Great to hear! Thank you so much 🙏

Thank you and welcome Australia ✌️✍️
I really like the video. You state that you cannot have shape definition without differentiation in value. But surely shapes are often defined not only by differences in value but with line or color (hue, chroma saturation, temperature). Zorn made good use of defining shape through color shifts in the same value for example. Many pen and ink or even charcoal drawings forego tone and describe shapes with line . I think of Bridgman and his use of interlocking and overlapping line to define shapes. Again, splendid video. Enjoyed it very much. Cheers
Thank you 🙏
